Bridal Party Gifts

Mon Mar 14, 2011 6:12 pm

I have been tossing back and forth as to what to get the bridal party.
The Bm's will be paying for their dresses and shoes.
The GM will be paying for their suits, they will all have black shoes.

We have bought the GM their cufflinks. We will be buying the girls jewellery and head pieces.

What did you give your bridal party all up (including dresses/jewellery etc)?

I'm not sure what to pay for. Should I pay for hair and makeup? I was also considering buying the girls a clutch to say thankyou

I dont know, should I pay for hair, makeup and a clutch. Is this too much or is this too little?

What about the boys? What should we get them?

I  that clutch!
We are buying the dresses and shoes for the bridesmaids and the groomsmens' outfits and shoes. Hair and makeup the bridesmaids are paying for themselves. I will probably buy their jewellery and hairpieces but it will just be diva stuff or similar. I also got them some personalised cosmetics bags from artscow with their initials on them. No idea what we will give the groomsmen though, they are not wearing suits so cuff links doesn't seem appropriate :?

Girls: (x2)

Dress ($300)
Shoes ($150)
Jewellery ($40)
Hair and Makeup Trials ($100)
Accomodation night of wedding for them and partners ($150 each)

Boys: (x2)

Suits ($300)
Shirts ($100)
Ties ($45)
Cufflinks ($20)
Flights from Mackay for one GM ($500)
We offered to pay accomodation night of the wedding but they didn't want to stay out with everyone else.

I didn't buy them a thankyou gift as such, they all scored a fabulous outfit for participating in our day aswell as a heap of left over alcohol from the reception ( I think all of them took atleast a carton of beer and 6 bottles of wine)

You have to pay for what you can afford

Bridesmaids X 3
Dress - $270 - They paid for (they chose the dress from a couple I had picked)
Shoes - They all wore their own black shoes, so they didnt have to purchase new ones
Hair & Make up - $150 each - I paid for their hair & make up
Jewellry & Accessories - Earrings & Hair facinator - $60 each
Thank you gift - I did them up a basket each with bridesmaids singlet, pj's pants, bottle of wine, bath bombs etc - Each worth approx $50

But I was upfront from the start with what I would cover and what they would cover.
