We were married in the Yarra Valley and it was perfect. There is also the Mornington Peninsula which is gorgeous for Winery Weddings.

Maybe check out both the Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula threads (?)

This helped me when planning my own wedding: http://yarravalleywedding.com.au/

We got married at Killara Estate (Yarra Valley) on the weekend and it was perfect. So many people commented on how amazing the venue was. I spent a day with my best friend and stepum travelling around the Yarra Valley to every winery that was big enough to hold 100 guests. I think this is the best way to do it, as you really need to see the venues in person as their websites never really do them justice.

Depends on numbers of course. Our wedding was on the smaller side, and we got married at Immerse. They have a chapel set right in the vines, which is very pretty. And their food and wine was amazing. And they have an onsite venue for an after party and accommodation on site. And a day spa is you're feeling in need of a pre or post wedding massage.

There are heaps of beautiful venues out there. Need to work out numbers first so you can start to narrow it down.

Mornington Penninsula thread: viewtopic.php?f=68&t=109182

Yarra Valley thread: viewtopic.php?f=68&t=92242

Both of which can be found in the Your Wedding Location - Vic thread (viewforum.php?f=68)

Hope this helps you find the info that you are looking for. Friends of ours had a winery wedding and we are going to another one in 2 weeks, but they're both in the Margaret River wine region, so sometimes the relevant state threads have more of the info you are looking for.

Tassie has heaps if they want a bit of a destination wedding.

Try the websites for these places - josef chromy, barringwood park, moorilla estate, Home hill wines.

Went to a cousins last year in Harndorf, Sth Adelaide. Cant remember the name though. I'm not sure if its just that vinyard, or all, but they had used a certain blood & bone type fertiliser for the crop. Whenever the wind blew, there was the most awful, sewerage/manure smell. Check when they are fertilising & make sure the wedding is the day BEFORE they do it!!!

I think Western Australia has some great venues for a winery wedding...maybe try a wedding planner who can help you pick a location.

There are also some really beautiful wineries in the Macedon Ranges.
