Menu - what would you choose?

Thu Feb 07, 2013 7:04 pm

I'm torn between a few options on our menu choice. Help! :P

We have 2 vegetarians attending.

We are choosing the following for buffet mains:

Chicken/Fish catagory: Grilled Chicken Thighs with Lemon and Herb Sauce
Beef/Lamb/Pork catagory: Oven roasted Leg of Lamb with Red Wine – Rosemary sauce
Baked Classic catagory: Vegetable Lasagne
Starch catagory: Basmati Rice (we need 1 more)

Dessert:
Lemon Meringue Pie
White Chocolate Mocha Cheesecake

======================================

I need help deciding between these options:

1 starter (plated) from:
Tandoori Chicken Kebab set on a seasonal Pickled Salad
Shrimp and Avocado cocktail
Butternut tart sided by a Fine Herb Salad

Mains:
1 more Starch from:

Roast Potatoes
Rustic Potato Wedges
New Potatoes in Herbed Garlic Butter

2 Vegetables

Grilled Butternut with Cinnamon Bark
Honey Glazed Carrots
Creamed Spinach and Feta

1 Salad
Greek Salad
Minted-Citrus Cous Cous salad
Mozzarella Tomato Salad with Fresh Basil

Hope it all makes sense!

Lol thanks :) I see the voting is leaning towards what I was leaning towards too, but unsure of the starter...picking the shrimp means the vegetarians might not get anything....?

Can they cater for the vegetarians separately?

if its just two vegetarians couldnt you just let them know that there is an option for them and let them know so they can tell you prior to the day so you can sort it.

Luckily we dont have vegetarians coming to ours but I have a few issues with food intolerances so we had to pick a lunch menu that catered for everyone.

so we are going to have nibbles at the park while getting the photos done, then going to the restuarant where we are having the main meal, and having four dishes to choose from.

then everyone will come back to our place for the cake (though we are seriously thinking of having few things for the dessert range)

mind you its easier for us with such a small group

We're only have 40 guests max so it'll be a small buffet (I doubt they'd make enough for 100 guests lol)
