Online Dressmakers - Questions and Reviews

Thu Aug 02, 2012 9:46 pm

Hi all,

Here is the place to discuss online dressmakers. You can ask questions, show examples of their work and give reviews all in the one place! :D

Please note:
Do not post pictures of designer dresses you are looking to have copied or they will be deleted from the thread.

I'd love to know if anyone has used BridalBliss Designs from etsy? She has amazing dresses at good prices, with excellent feedback. Still nervous about getting a dress I havent seen! But the style I want I cannot find in any dress shop!

Jen can you show us a pic of the dress? We may be able to point you in the direction of something similar.

i am also interested in any one who has bought a dress from an etsy store, there are so many beautiful shops that sell for quite cheap, but i'm worried about it not being genuine!

Hi, I am new to this site ( and only engaged 2 weeks!) but I am trying to be super organised! Has anyone had anything to do with WeddingshopAdelaide.com?? The site has similar sites called Weddingshopsydney.com, weddingshopperth.com etc. The dresses are cheap, lovely looking BUT I can't find anything about the site online- the only thing scamadviser says is it is 75% safe- so anyone used this site and received a dress they loved???

I actually have a online shop on etsy.com, but also sell from a store in Redcliffe QLD. The owner saw my designs, and wanted them in her store. So she set some space aside to display them. I currently sell mainly vintage designs. (1950's) Anyway, I have been thinking up some business ideas, and I like the idea of afforable bridesmaid dresses ($65-$110). I was thinking of designing a range of simple light cotton fabric dresses in spring colours of strawberry, butter yellow, mint, sky blue etc, and selling for around $65. Does anyone think that this is a good idea, or do you think that most brides would want to stay with the traditional satin/silk?
Thanks for your opinions
Cathie

I'd be happy to not have satin or silk, but I'm not the average bride (apparently!). I'd definitely love a dress under $100 for my 5bms though!
