Question about dress-dye top part from pink to ivory?

Thu Jan 17, 2013 10:16 am

I Love my dress but have always felt a bit unsettled about the top netting of the dress being pink. I love the pink belt but have been second guessing the pink top of it since I bought it a month ago.
My Mum & BM LOVE the pink top of it. I don't know. What do other people think? Should my dressmaker dye it ivory to match the rest of the dress?

It would be cheaper and far safer to buy a new dress. Dying from blush to ivory would be very difficult if not impossible. I like your gown, it is different yet still very pretty.

Yep you can't dye fabrics lighter- only bleach them and I certainly wouldn't recommend doing that. It is hard to see in the pic, but is the pink on the bodice an overlay? If so a dressmaker could remove it and replace it with ivory fabric.

I think it is simple enough that is suits the dress and you - its not like the netting is bright pink.
