stormageddon I was thinking of doing that with my RSVPs. Did you find that helpful with getting RSVPs on time?

I also put in addressed RSVP envelopes, and with only just recently sending invites ou have received a few back, I even considered placing a stamp on, but figured peopl can do that surely! We just put in invite and RSVP, I didn't make any mebntion of gifts. We are having our wedding in nz and in no way shape or form expect anything from guests traveling over, and just personally I prefer not to mention ' no gifts' etc as it stil instigates that we may be xpecting something, that is totally only my opinion an realise most people put something in. :D

We did that too Lawwa. Seemed to be very appreciated by our guests. We also included taxi numbers (we had quite a few out of town guests) and babysitter numbers (because we didn't ask children to the reception).

Its not really in Australia. In the USA it is, but its very much the norm here.

I'm inclined to agree, I've never gotten a wedding invitation without registry info. Personally as a guest I find it helpful, everyone knows I am going to bring a gift, and I prefer to get them something they actually want!

Well in the USA the idea is to ask the MOTB or similar for ideas and they pass the registry information on.

Here, if you didn't get a card with the invite, I'd assume there was no registry, not that I had to ask.

we included
rsvp with stamped envelope and return address
maps to get to the ceremony and reception
accommodation recommendation
all our guests are flying in and dont know the area so having the maps etc was hopefully helpful

we arent expecting gifts because people are flying over for the wedding and I am not a fan of wishing wells or the poems that go with them (yes too many weddings over the years of the same poem lol)

I'm having an island wedding, but wanted it to be formal. I would also put Dress style if you are in the same situation
