Cake flavour - mint chocolate and marble?

Wed Jun 05, 2013 1:01 pm

Hi all,

I found out that one of the flavours we can have for our wedding cake is mint chocolate - which I absolutely love! Just a bit unsure about having this for our cake since it isn't traditional. Do you think it would be weird if we had mint chocolate and marble? Would you like this? Or should we just pick something more normal?

Sounds yum. Go with what you want. I can't even remember the last time I went to a wedding where they had traditional fruit cake :)

I love untraditional wedding cakes, I think mint chocolate is just fine :)

Sounds DELICIOUS! I would love a mint chocolate wedding cake and I'd definitely love eating it as a guest :)

Sounds Delish! I am all for non-traditional flavours for wedding cakes. It is YOUR day after all, and even the cake needs to represent you and your tastes. :)

I love mint chocolate - I hope we can get flavours like that. It's your cake you don't need to stick to traditional.

As a cake decorator with over 35 mud cake flavours, I can tell you that choc mint is really popular. Have what you want, if you are worried about it being popular with your guests, have it as your smaller tier with the marble the bigger one. Otherwise don't worry, it is lovely.
