You girls are doing well!
I feel like I am getting overwhelmed a bit at the moment! Too many last minute decisions!
So many people keep offering help - but I cant delegate these decisions! :(
Oh well. Next month 8O it will all be over and I don't have to stress any more!
Didnt do anything this weekend for the wedding - just relaxed and had fun!
Will do OOS tonight....maybe....if I get motivated.... :D

Ohhhhhhhhh just reading the last two pages has made me so nervous 8O
Lately i've had everyone screaming as us "OMG you guys are getting married next month!". It still hasn't fully hit us yet. We don't have too much left to organise. I'm picking up my completed dress on Monday, the girls dresses and the boys suits will be altered a fortnight before the wedding. I have to package the bonbonniere and finish the name/place cards. Then pay everyone I guess lol. We have a rehearsal/food tasting dinner at the end of the month so we can pick our menu. The girls and I are also thinking about changing our hairstyles. I'm not sure if I want to wear mine up or down now. Im pretty sure thats all i have left to do. I'm nervous lol.

ordered dads out fit, we got the cake stand and took it around to show seaweed (our cake lady) and decided we need a 3 tier instead of 2 lol, started on the wishing chest, taking my dress in sometime this month for a press and to get a bustle on it at no extra charge so was happy about that.

i have printed up our menus and place cards.

Not sure about office works - i got all our paper from there but used publisher for everything and just played around with it to make invites, they had some handmade silk paper which worked really well on our scrolls and i used different paper and thickness for other things like the rsvp and booklets that holds a map and dress code + wishing well stuff then more for the table menus, gift tags and such.

There is always going to be one last detail that I will totally forget!

It is so cold! Hope it is not his cold on the wedding day - though we will be inside so it should be fine 8)

Still have lots to do. I am so last minute! Even if I had a million years!

Anyway - I am going to type up the OOS.

I typed up our OOS a while ago.. but keeping having second thoughts on it, we included the words for declaration of intent, vows, and ring ceremony. However, I think we should have our reading in their instead/as well, but FH thinks if we have our poems written out people may read them instead of listening.

What are your girls thoughts? I was more wanting to give them to our guests as a memento of our wedding (I am sentimental like that, and its the kind of thing I take & keep from wedding even though I don't read them at event).

My momsy has said she'll write out our place cards if I can find the paper/card for them (she does fancy calligraphy :) )

Has anyone else started having the wedding nightmares? Both FH and I started having ours last week, they mostly seem to be about our vendours not turning up

That is what we want our OOS for - as a memento. So we are writing up a full one with all the words and vows and song lyrics, then we will make another one with just the readings and vows and just titles for the rest of the service (full catholic service) to give out at the ceremony.

My BM had a nightmare about the wedding the other night! It was worse then any dream I have had yet.
I did have a nightmare about my sisters wedding - who is not married, not engaged and not even thinking about it. I think I projected my worries onto her in dream form. Weird. :?

I think it is better to have nightmares with the day perfect then have no dreams and the day be a nightmare!

hey girls,

I am wanting to do up OOS, but hand them out after the service, as our celebrant said guests will be reading them instead of looking at us, (which i don't mind) I would list our bridal party, cake maker venue, maybe where i got my dress and so on on the back . Our service, the songs that were played during service and signing maybe even put in our menu so it will be like a booklet of our whole day lol.

and of course a thank you to all who came and for going to the trouble of sewing or other hassle to hire something for our theme wedding.

So do you think I should hand out the current one I've done, that doesn't include the readings (as FH doesn't want people reading, he wants them looking at us and paying attention!). OR should I hand out the 'updated' version that includes the readings, but put it with the table settings? (Remember we are only having a small wedding, so this is easy to do :P )

I've included names, a heartfelt thankyou to all, (readings in new), vows, declaration of intent and ring ceremony. Then just the obvious pics and so forth. We've just done ours in the oldschool brochure format - I still get a shock at how pretty they look once I actually print them off to have a proper look haha.

7 weeks to go today. Actually made me feel a little better.. cos I've kept thinking over and over "it's next month! it's next month!" but now it doesn't seem to be quite as close

Designed our place cards yesterday, FH was very impressed. Gotta love Publisher  Now we've just got to deliver some to Mom on Tuesday, to see what it looks like with her doing calligraphy on them. Also got FH to look at the 'new' OOS, and he didn't even notice the difference at first  so now the readings are included :) but I'm still unsure as to whether we should have them handed up prior to ceremony beginning, or to have them at the table settings at reception. hmmm...

This weeks to do list:
* start wearing in wedding shoes
* visit some party store to compare prices on centrepieces
* book day pampering session for us girls for day before
* finish painting touchups to house (for photos)

7 weeks does sound better than next month lol.

have to start our OOS booklets, I so love Publisher, looking at doing up a family crest, I got a shield template from a scrap booking store, and trying to get fh to do up our initials, entwine with each other and maybe a little ivy as well, looks good in my mind anyway.

This week to do list,
Finish wishing chest,
make changes to guest book.
complete pew bows (adding ivy and small roses for colour, bows are cream satin very pretty)
use the green and ivory tulle to make circles for favours, look at ordering chocolates for favours to go with glass coasters.
start to wear in wedding shoes,
start and hope to finish hooded cape / cloak for daughter- it will fit me as well so all good mine turned out well.
look for a person who can do great engraving for hip flasks for dad, gm, bm and moc (master of ceremony ) and for our cake stand that i love :bdance:
still need to track down cake bags or boxes too, for guests to take away.
( had to get a extra tier added to cake lol)

fh's daughter is getting married this thursday, getting my nails done tomorrow and the normal day to day stuff, have to fit it all into my 3 days off lol.

everyones been low keyed in here, hope all your plans are going well.

Been getting our RSVP's almost daily in the post, only a few to get back but they have said yes, apart from fh still keeping on inviting ppl, then his son said he is coming and maybe 3 or 4 of HIS friends i was like excuse me but if they do come he is paying for them, and at $100.00 a head he can.
the wedding favours are looking good better than i thought they would. will post pics when i can.
still lots to do.
