Hi guys, Ive just this second ordered my wedding gown from bridalgown.net (in America)

Im very excited and scared, all at the same time.... ive seen rave reviews on the forum about them and they have a 100% positive feedback on their ebay store.

Its a Maggie Sottero Gown - Claudette RRP $2200. its cost me $1020 AUD including postage to Hobart.

Awating my email from tehem to confirm my ETA. apparently it usually takeds 5 to 6 months for the designer to make and bridalgown.net to post to you from New York.

Oh Peaches goodluck with the dress! I think I will order mine this week too. We can freak out together until they get here!!!

I am getting Married on the 6th of November, on the Sunshine Coast. I have selected my bridemaids, but my mum was saying that it is tradition that I purchase a gift for the Bridesmaids. I know that it is early, but is everyone else buying a gift for their bridesmaids. I just don't think that it is appropriate.
I have estimated that it will cost me about $500 per bridesmaid to have them in the bridal party. (Dress-$200, Hair and makeup, medi/pedi-$220, Shoes-$80)
My mum was saying that the gift is for duties performed before the wedding, but because both don't live close (they live a few hours away), I won't see them until the day before the wedding. I have choosen the range, it is a Mr K, and located stores near them that stock these dresses. I have choosen the colour 'royal', and said that they can choose whatever style they want. Mr K has a great range of what they call 'ongoing bridemaid', and it has a huge range, I am sure that they will find something that they will like. Anyway, they 'duties' will be limited to selected the dress.

Anyway, what is everyone else doing? Do you think that it is fair not to buy a gift?

Hi November Brides

I am getting married the 27th November 2010. So still a little over 12months but can imagine how quickly the time will fly by. And I am a little control freak so keen to get things organised! :)

I've booked venue ( ceremony & reception at same place) & photographer. Have ordered Save the Date cards as we have quite a few interstate guests and have been looking at invitation ideas. There is a lovely lady who is local who makes gorgeous invitations so have booked her in. Have asked my 2 bridesmaids but cant decide on a colour.

Glad to know there are more November brides out there!

So just a little back ground, we have been together for over 5 years, got engaged October next year and are now planning to get married on the 20th in Queenstown, New Zealand.

Omigosh. I just looked at my count down ticker again.... This time next year I will be married!! Eek.
I ordered my dress and also have to wait for confirmation of ETA like you Peaches. Eeek!! Time will fly gals as Christmas approaches. The holiday season always makes things fly by so fast!!!
Anyone have plans for Christmas and/or going away?! We are staying home and saving!!

Tomorrow I am off to Tas for my mum's wedding! Small wedding at her house. Hopefully gets my sis and I excited about both our weddings!!!

Yay, another Nov 27th bride!! Still seems so far away... I am feeling quite organised, but I think I am focusing too much on the little things that can be sone later on (centrepieces etc) when I should be doing things like finding a photographer and celebrant :D

I am super excited for the girls who have ordered from BridalGown.net, I have been doing some research and it seems to be a good option to save a whole lot of money! Fingers crossed that it all works out!

I have made a Show and Tell with some pics under 'Mahalia's Adelaide Hills garden wedding' in the S&T section, but can't figure out how to put a link in my signature? I did it but it would'nt let me save it, saying that you can only have a max of one URL in your sig? Anyone have any ideas?

Have fun at your Mums wedding cinderella_375!

Definitely been thinking about that. Melb is so hot! Lucky our boys won't be in full suits! I just don't want the makeup to melt off!!!
And yup, hayfever is awful right now too! Contemplating some desensitizing shots!!!
Lots of things to think about huh?!!!
I was looking online at these wedding survival kits and I think someone should include some Clarintyne in them!!

this was one of the BIG factors for us getting married in NZ, half the guest list are from there and to come to the shock of this heat wouldnt be nice, plus then all of us in layers and suits not good.
Its currently 18.1c in Queenstown compared to 28.6c 8O for Brisbane (and we are behind by a few hours only just past 9am here)
