Hi I'm new here. We've got a date, the 6th. We've got the reception, celebrant and photographer booked. Feeling organised but totally overwhelmed at the same time. So many good ideas on here, thanks for sharing.

ps where is everyone at?
as my previous post said we have booked and paid (deposit) for the venue and caters
I have my dress, shoes, veil and necklace.
I have ring pillow, guest book
orders save the date cards
have stationary for DIY invites


but we still need to (big things)
find /book:
photographer
celebrant
transport
cake
flowers
groom and gm attire
bm attire
hair and makeup

OMIGOSH! You have done WAYYYYYY more than I have:
- Booked Venue (Ceremony and Reception at same place) and paid deposit
- Ordered dress
- Booked photographer
- Got my save the date magnets ready to give out at engagement party
- Ordered some parts of the invites free from Vistaprint
- Started collecting small BM gifts

I need heaps of the things as you have mentioned too though! But I guess we DO have a while....don't we?!!!! 8O

we are having our wedding in NZ in Queenstown so there was only a few vendors that we can pick from so I want to organise everything asap to secure the best suppliers, plus if I book now then we can enjoy ourselves more and not be stressed

Hi Everyone,
Have been a lurker on here for a while, now that there is less than 1 year to go I thought I would pipe up. I am a Nov 20th gal. Getting married ont he Central Coast. Ceremony and reception in the same place on a beautiful garden site.
These are the things I have organised:
- Ceremony and reception
- celebrant
-photographer
- cake
- BM dresses
- my dress I am choosing between two... I'll put them below.... opinions would be great!!! :D

Arggh doesn't really seem like much, but I like to be super organised!!!! Otherwise I will start to panic!!!! (need to remind myself I still have a year)

And just a random fact which I am really excited about.... the next Harry Potter instalment comes out the day before our wedding!!!!! ATM I am prob a little more excited about that!!! lol

I really like the lace dress, i think it gourgous!

Im gettig fustrated cos i cant book some of the little things like flowers now cos its too soon :(

I love the lace dress....but I think I am bias coz mine is also lace!!!

I know what you guys mean, I think the more we organise now, the better. I know that work is shaping up to be especially busy next year for me too around August and Sept. Hopefully I should have most stuff done by then though???
Arrgghh, I need to get out my wedding mag timeline and get organised!!!
I really need to look into celebrants?!And prob Hair and makeup. I think I am getting dresses made from Duosheng too. Just got my colour swatches back and love them, so now just need the girls to decide on the dress!! There are so many nice ones on the site!
Can't wait to see Engagement piccies! have fun!

Looks like a lot of us are getting married on the 20th (me too). I just cant believe we will all be married this time next year. anyhoo, good luck with the planning!

hi ladies i have my heart set on nov 27th 2010 but havent booked anything yet. we're in the process of narrowing down reception venues and trying to get available dates off the venues but i have uni exams that go until the 18th nov so cant be any earlier than that..dont want the 20th coz thats too close if you know what i mean- i know the last few weeks before the wedding will be stressful anyway and will hopefully only have 1 exam to deal with

Hoping to book a venue in the next few weeks- i had my heart set on a venue but they're booked out for the whole of nov 2010 besides fridays and sundays but FH said he doesnt want to get married on a friday (im not fussed) but i dont want a sunday

we have a tentative booking for 27th nov 2010 - just need to go check the place out next week then if we like it place a deposit. i've had trouble finding a place available when we want so looks like this place may be the one - stressing me out!! ...now to find a church that will be availabel the same day arrgghh

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd say hello and join the thread -- we are getting married on the 7th of November 2010, in Geelong, Victoria!

We've been engaged since the 2nd of May 2009 -- wow, I can't believe how time has flown! It felt like we had FOREVER to organise this wedding, and now...eek! Getting closer all the time!

So far we have:
Ceremony venue: oudoors in the garden at Corio Villa
Reception venue: Le Parisien (French restaurant)
Celebrant booked
Photographer booked
Wedding party chosen
Dress bought
Vests and cravats for groomsmen bought

Still to go -- everything else! 8O
