MrsMuddie where did you go for suits? I'm in Newy and we went to a place in Charlestown with the intention of hiring and walked out after putting a deposit down for brand new suits

[quote="MrsHutcho2B"]Hi Ladies -
Yes, time is coming up fast! Only 117 days to go for me :-)
I managed to send off our invitations last Monday ahead of tomorrow's Australia Post fee increase, so that was good timing (thanks to my step-Mum for reminding me about the postage increases to get my butt into gear!).

I just found out about this fee increase yesterday and im waiting on my responses to come back but I sent stamped envelopes with the old priced stamps so im hoping they have some sort of grace period or we will have to call and email everyone to get their responses.

Oh Dear! Im having a heart attack now! We send out our invites about 2 weeks ago, and all our rsvp's have been addressed and stamped, but only with a 55c stamp!
I didnt even know about the increase until I read here! Was it publicised at all?

What if they dont come to me? I dont care if they send it to me and then bill me for the 5c, but Im having a major stress now!

Im going to have to send out an sms asking people to buy a 5c stamp to put on it. I am fuming!

I just called Australia post and any RSVP's coming back with a 55c stamp without a senders address might be billed about $1.50 to the addressee if it get picked up. They said some may get overlooked and sent through
without a fee.
This means im probably looking at a $50 bill !!
Otherwise we can contact everyone to put a 5c stamp on but I really don't want to do that to my guests!!!

I sent out 100+ invites for my 21st when it went from 50c to 55c about a month later, and with the return address on the back they abviously found me but just gave me a polite written warning and advised me that the price has gone up and next time please use 55c. I wouldnt worry about it, its one more thing to stress about and chances are they will def overlook it, worst case send you a small bill!

Hope it all works out for you :D

4 months today exactly for us. Plans are starting to really happen now.
Our photographer is a great friend of the family and is doing photos as a gift..
Our flowers likewise..we are so grateful and lucky to have wonderful friends.
Other things that are done is:
catering booked, rings, wishing well, and our ceremony music is done.
We need to get started on the guest list for the invitations, and choose our vows etc very soon
This is really happening :D

After reading a few posts I have a couple of questions. Are you suppose to send Hens Night invites? I'm only having a very small Hens night around 10 of us, but we haven't sent an invite out, just an email to save the date.

Does anyone have any ideas for Hens day/nights? I don't want to go to Sydney, but would like to do something fun. We were going to go to the Races for the day, but my MOH has told me there are no races on over the long weekend of the 2nd October (Gosford or Wyong). We live on the central coast and didn't really want to travel as far as Sydney or Newcastle. Running out of ideas. Have to accomodate age, pregnancy and physical limitations.....

Also are you suppose to send your photographer and DJ a wedding invite?

Would appreciate any advice.....

Wow girls nearly onto part 2 of october... :D
At this stage of the wedding planning I just honestly want it all to be over.
I want to get married, dont get me wrong but all this is so involving!
Everything is booked.. Just need to do all the stuff that I couldnt be bothered doing earlier!
I just cant wait until I am married and dont have to worry about everything that has to do with weddings!
cant wait till October 24 when no more saving for the wedding occurs and im a mrs..

scary! how time has flown over the past couple of months!
my girls have there dress fitting on saturday.... Next month we are going down the coast to have my hair trial.
We get our wedding rings at the end of this month.... Can not wait!!!!!
I too, cant wait for spring to come along!!!!!
Still have a few little things to organise. We bought a house and land package last month, and hopefully it settles this month some time when the land gets released. So we've had a lot of things happening with the house.
