I'm ignoring lists of things left to do at the moment and just enjoying a sunday of rest after an AMAZING hens night last night.
I didn't know what i was doing for the hens, it was all a surprise (even down to what i was wearing!!!)
I got picked up at lunchtime yesterday, they packed a bag of things for me.
I got taken to a hotel in the city where the bridesmaids and myself did make-up and hair. We had a few cocktails and played a bachelorette dice game until it came time to get changed. The girls hid in the bedroom and put on their outfits then came out of the bedroom dressed as pirates and wenches. Oh goodness, a nautical theme!!! They dressed me in a bright pink tshirt with a black skirt and belt and fluro pink veil (and a plastic pirates hook and a tweety bird pinned to my shoulder).
And we walked to the yarra river, right behind Fed Square where another 20 friends and family (dressed in theme) were waiting to board a Girls Afloat boat. There was another 6 hens nights on our boat, it was crazy! There was strippers who pulled me up on stage a few times during their performances. A 'patrick swayze' tribute stripper actually picked me up, spun me around in a circle and then dipped me. I screamed, i'm not the littlest of girls and prefer keeping my feet on the ground!! But it was all so much fun, i was giggling the whole time.
We went to a club afterwards and danced away the night until the music stopped. Then on the way out, a group of guys serenaded me with Always by Bon Jovi. It was a very random and sweet end to a wonderful day.
I've never talked to so many people in my life - the veil attracts people. All were lovely, just enjoyed asking about the wedding.
Woo-hoo 20 days left til I'M MARRIED!!
