Hello ladies, how are your plans going?

Gaaaaaaaah, huge drama with invites - the suburb was left off the RSVP card, but the suburb name is the same name as the road and the post code is on there, so hopefully will be ok! Oh, and the other day - my tiara broke but I found a lady who makes jewellery who can also do repairs - GIANT SIGH OF RELIEF ... but now I've just found out that my bridesmaids' dresses could be delayed until the 26th of September - that's a week before the wedding! STRESS STRESS STRESS.

This forum seems to be the only way I can wrap my head around my to-do list, so you girls will have to put up with it, and it is getting some tweaking today!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Less than five weeks to go - Sunday 30 August to Saturday 5 September:
- Pick out the flowers (appointment on 1st Sept with florist)
- Go to next dress fitting (appointment on 5th Sept with dress-maker)

- Mail off final three invites and collect any RSVPs that have come in
- Make appointment with doctor so I can be off all of my meds by the wedding day!
- Mark of known RSVPs, including people who are definitely coming (e.g. bridal party and parents)
- Mail list of attendees for hen's night to MOH
- Get a rough idea together about vows and readings to be done at the ceremony (and speeches at the reception)
- Get a rough idea together about what music to have at ceremony/reception
- Find out when bridesmaid's dresses are coming in (crap, apparently it's not until 26th of September!) :tick:
- Ring about bridesmaid's dresses again on TUESDAY when JUDY is in
- Pay for and pick up dresses (if they are ready)
- Try and find boxes to put bonboniere in (go to Lincraft or order online)
- Finalise accomodation for the night before and night of the wedding (just need to advise what room configuration we want)
- E-mail jewellery lady about having my tiara fixed
- E-mail hairdresser about final thoughts on hair style
- Find out how much is owing on everything in order to make payments

Less than four weeks to go - Sunday 6 September - Saturday 12 September
- Have e-ring rhodium plated (at least two weeks out)
- Make the thank-you cards
- Chase some of the missing RSVPs towards end of week
*Trip to Melbourne to see fiance - (probably) Wednesday 9 September to Friday 11 September*
- Personally deliver dress to Melbourne Bridesmaid (if possible, not looking likely)
- Workout what to do about Bridesmaid's shoes with Melbourne Bridesmaid

*Weekend in Canberra with two of my bridesmaids - Friday 11 September to Sunday 13 September*
- Personally deliver dresses to Canberra Bridesmaids (if possible, not looking likely)
- Personally deliver suit to Canberra Groomsman
- Sort out shoes with Canberra bridesmaids

Less than three weeks to go - Sunday 13 September - Saturday 19 September
- Adam to ensure cats vaccinations are up to date
- Adam to drop off cats at boarding cattery
- Chase any missing RSVPs
- Buy Dad's "Parent's gift"
- Buy Mum's birthday present

Less than two weeks to go - Sunday 20 September - Saturday 26 September
*Includes preparation for hen's night and hen's night itself (Saturday 26 September)*
- Meet with photographers to discuss shoot and locations (appointment on 23 September with photographers)
- Have final meeting with celebrant and finalise vows and view birth certs - ?
- Hair appointment (colour) - ?

- Decide what to wear to hen's night and purchase new outfit if necessary
- Purchase sarong to go with swimmers for honeymoon
- Purchase nice underwear for wedding and honeymoon

Well it's getting a bit exciting isn't it!
This Friday I'm leaving for Tangalooma Island Resort, my mum has organised a girls weekend away instead of doing a bridal shower, I can't wait. We're taking singstar with us and lots of alcohol, should be fun! We've booked 2 units on the beach that look straight out onto the water. Mum's been sneeky and I know she's organised games etc for the weekend, it's fun not knowing what's going to happen, usually I plan everything to the last little bit, but it's nice not really doing anything and just turning up. Part of our package over there is feeding the dolphins one night, it'll be so cool and I'll finally be able to test out my new waterproof camera. I get a bit freaked out in really deep water so my goal is to conquer my fear and swim out to the wrecks and do some snorkeling and take some photos of all the fish that hang around the wrecks. I can't wait!!!!

Tamgerine, have you filled in your notice of intent to marry form with your celebrant??? The only reason I ask is, I saw you have show birth certificate to celebrant and I thought that the celebrant had to view the birth certif prior to lodging the form (maybe that was just my celebrant though). Check with the cattery you are putting your cats in, if needing vaccination our kennel likes dogs to have the vacc at least 2 weeks prior to entry.

eta- missed a word!

Manda and jazzy- would love to see pics of your trials!

Tan, your weekend away sounds amazing! I have holiday envy!!!! It's nice to just roll with things sometimes! Can't wait to hear all about it.

I am excited because I have made lots of wedding purchases lately including 2 pairs of shoes (couldn't decide which ones!!), wedding fragrances for fh and I, and my jewellery. eta, will be adding pics to my show and tell in good time!

I received my hens invite in the mail the other day and i have noooo idea what is happening which is very exciting. I had a real *squeal of excitement* moment on Saturday when my Mum and I went and bought my veil. It was one of the most exciting things i have done :D I guess coz it makes it so real and so close. Other ladies were there watching their daughters and grandaughters try dresses on and were asking about our wedding and I guess it made me think back to how long ago it all seemed when I got my dress!!! I just cannot believe how quiickly time is flying!!!

Luckily we havent had any problems with guests wanting to bring their children to the wedding phew. Je55i I agree that people should not ask if the names arent on the invite. You dont need added stress at such a busy time!

I cant believe how quickly it is coming along now especially as the last few weeks have been so busy! We have had quite a few RSVPs already and they have all been yes (yay!!) except one couple who we didnt think would be able to travel from interstate. Have an exciting week planned as have another dress fitting on Thursday where I get to pick up my veil and hairpiece that the designer has also made! Then Friday afternoon I have my hair and makeup trials, cant wait!! Ellejay I agree would be great to see photos of everyones trials. I will try to post some from mine, just have to get up to speed on how to upload photos on here hmmm... :?

And Saturday we get to go to the venue to do some tastings so we can finalise our choices for the menu :D

Tan: Oooh, I hope you have a fun weekend with the girls :D

Ellejay: My celebrant says that she only needs to see it before the actual wedding day, because mine had gone missing and she was doing it in good faith - of course if I couldn't produce it or whatever, the NIM would have to be withdrawn. As for vaccinations, our kitties are being done on Monday which is almost two weeks before, close enough :) ... I love those "squeal" moments, and getting all the wedding stuff ... weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Je55i: Urgh, I know what you mean but people don't always just get it - some people make it all about them ...

Little Miss Sunshine: Some of my trial pics are on my Show and Tell if you want to look :D enjoy your trial, it is so much fun.

---------

I will be updating my show and tell with a LOT of new stuff soon :D - and updating my to-do list!

For all of you girls wanting to upload a pic, when you are doing a post look where the Save, Preview and Submit buttons are. Just below that, there are the Options and Upload attachment tabs. Click on the Upload attachment tab. Click on the Browse button, and find the location of the picture on your computer. Click on the Add the file button. Post as normal. :) You should be able to add multiple pics to a post, but it does have a limit on how many you can post in one post (can't remember what the limit is).
