w00t haha I've been waiting for an August 2011 thread to start.

I'm the 13th of August. It's crazy to think it's only a little over 10months to go!

Yep, I've been waiting for one to open too!
Can't believe it's under 11 months away, we got engaged in May and the time has just flown!
Although, I have been crazy organised and forward planning, so there are only small things to do now... I'm sure time will crawl now that all the big things are done!

Where is everyone else getting married, sure I could read your S&T's but we need some sort of discussion here :)

What about you? Yes im hopeless reading s&ts too as i never have time with a 30minute lunch break...

Engaged a year? How exciting!

I'm ridiculously organised, I am only studying part time this year (while working full time), but next year go back to full time study (still while working!) so I have t have everything done before christmas this year, seeing as I know nothing will get done at christmas/new year and then it'll be back to uni!

Anyway, I only have cake (vendro and design), vows, seating arragements, OOS small things like that to go. I have got all my invitation material, just need to put it together (i'm DIYing) and that's pretty much it. All major things are done. it's kinda annoying actually, having to constantly explain to vendors why I need quotes/ideas now, even though it's so far away...

Do you find people are still telling you August is AGES away? Umm 10 months is NOT a long time, especially when I really only have til November to plan!

(rant over :) )

haha yes it really annoys me when they say that! I ordered my dress in January as i fell in love when first looking & they couldnt guarantee that it would be available later on. Then when i picked it up in July they were like "next August thats ages away!!" but whatever to them!!

What are you studying? im studying atm too it sucks every night head in a book! Im doing my cpa which is like a follow on from my commerce degree. My exam is in a month & i cant wait as i go to bali 2 days later then dont start again till feb next year!

Promise i will check your s&t when i get a chance but i really shuld get back to work now!!

Yep I got my dress almost straight away, they don't tend to like that for some reason.
Um, I've had the same girly, feminine fashion sense since I was little, don't think that's gonna change in the next year or so...
Very frustrating, it'll be here before we know it.

My S&T desperately needs updating so don't worry lol... you're not missing much!

I'm studying Psychological Science, it's my premed degree, so on top of my uni requirement I'm studying for GAMSAT (the medical admission test) and trying to keep my chem and genetics (etc.) knowledge as up to date as possible...
So it's a little full on and I'm an excellent procrastinator lol

wow page 2!! Going well!

i actually realised ive already commented on your s&t i love the venue i saw it on getaway a few weeks ago i  pools next time i go to qld i want to stay there!!

so are you planning on being a dr? will you study & work full time 2nd semester next year? im going to have the semester off cpa as it will be too hectic with the wedding & honeymoon to keep up to date for the exam!

Yea, I thought you had commented on it actually but didn't wanna sound like I didn't know who I was talking about lol :)
Wish I'd seen it on getaway, maybe a can find a video somewhere on the net of that episode...

Yep, definately planning on being a Dr., not doing all this horrendous study for no reason
I'll be taking 2 weeks off work next year around the wedding and we wont be going on a proper honeymoon until our 1st anniversary, just a mini-moon in/around byron bay.
But yep, I'll still be doing full time study that semester. A wedding wasn't in my academic 10 yr plan (I sound so old and organised lol) so I just gotta slot it in there somewhere. Here's hoping there are no major exams or assignments for those couple of weeks :?

You should definately stay at Peppers when you come near the gold coast, it is gorgeous, cant wait for the wedding!!

AND YAY PAGE 2! Come on other August girls, we need to help each other get through the wait :)

Hey i just updated by first post in the thread so that we can see when everyones date is!

I would check the getaway site maybe try a google search as im pretty sure you can watch all shows online

Yeh i hope you dont have any assignments due around the wedding time im looking forward to the semester off study even though it throws the finish date out by 6 months - oh well!!

Went to a wedding over the weekend & i hate to say this but it was actually really boring! All the formal stuff was done within 1 & half hours (7pm) & i was ready to go! But i stayed till the end! Paul worked with him & his in his thirties & i think the bride was in her forties there was not 1 top 40 song played all night!

i've been really lazy with planning - we've got the venue booked (for ceremony and reception) and cars, but I've stalled on putting the deposit in for the photographer just out of laziness.. I need to get my butt moving on everything else.

Am organising an engagement dinner for next month so both our families can meet; and I got the invites today in the mail from vistaprint, and they're adorable, but they forgot to include the matching envelopes *facepalm* so now I've had to email them, and I'll have to wait for them to get sent over before I can mail out the invites. Grr!

That's a great idea updating. Will be great when we have even more wedding twins (triplets, quadruplets?)
Yea I had a good search but I couldn't seem to find what episode it was? Do you remember any of the other things that were shown that episode?
I hope I don't have assignments either, guess i'll just have to be super organised...
Yea, I feel your pain finishing later, I'm doing part time this year so I'll be a couple years behind my starting class which sucks TBH
Oh no, boring weddings are the worst, I hope people don't think that about ours. That's one of my major concerns, that people will be bored, not like the music etc...
I'm definately a top 40 kinda girl, I'm sure I would've been bored too!

Haha, I would totally be lazy too if I didn't have uni to worry about. I kinda have to be as organised as possible, plus wedding stuff usually gets done when I'm trying to procrastinate studying.
I'd get an A+ for procrastination lol

An engagement dinner sounds really nice, sucks about the envelopes. I'm sure they'll be here ASAP. Vistaprint are usually pretty good with these things, so I hear. Pics for the invites?

I posted in your S&T as well, but I just wanted to say that I think your venue is absolutely gorgeous!

I love the mafia/rat pack idea, it sounds like so much fun!

Keep us updated!

P.S. I just updated my S&T, and no one is looking so if you lovely girls want to, that'd be great (hint hint nudge nudge lol)
