Hahah, love it Jessie!

That's a really cute idea Mel. I haven't given any thoughts to photo inspiration, just figured I'd let the photographer do his thing but I might have to try looking for some I think.

They're the three important things! I don't know that you'd actually "need" it but maybe your veil as well?

Hello ladies!!
Well, I have been missing you all because my work must have caught me out being logged into this website too much and they've blocked it!!!! Ha ha ha, on a staff of around 150 you wouldn't think anyone would notice!
Don't care.. not like it's porn!
I've had a few little bits to update- it's very weddingy for me right now. FH and I got our rings engraved tonight and they've come out just beautiful. Mine says 1 Cor 13 and XI.III.XII and his says 'love forever XI.III.XII' which he chose. Mine is the reading we're having. I told FH I wanted it to remind me everytime I'm cranky- "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
Lol, very fitting as we've had a bit of a tiff lately (I blame him- he's quitting smoking again, bless him) We had a good laugh about it. He just wanted something simple and chose that.
Had a great spray tan tonight- it's very very light. Normally I go the shade darker but I'm having another fitting tomorrow night and didn't want to be too brown. So if it looks good I think I will go with it for the wedding, instead of from my friend who usually does it. I hope she doesn't mind. I think she will be fine though. She's pretty straight up so if i say I just wanted this one, she'll be ok.
Also have my hen's day on saturday!!!!! Woo hoo can't wait! :D
feel so great reading up on what you guys do. Makes me feel like I'm not alone!

Yay have fun at your hens Millie! Glad your tan worked out well :)

I had a tan trial last night as well that turned out pretty well. I wish I didn't need one but my skin is too patchy.

My dress fitting was hard! I was standing on the podium thingy for over an hour and a half while she pinned the skirt up. I learned I definitely need to break in my shoes! Owie. Someone suggested wearing them with socks for awhile because they were a tiny bit too tight.

I like the difference though, it falls much nicer now that it's not gathering on the floor because it's too long. She pinned the bust in and I had to get a 3 point bustle because the fabric is too soft for a one point bustle so I'm teeny dissapointed that it will cost more but at least my dress will be as perfect as it can be.

The ladies were all really nice last night! Finally can't complain hehe. They were all really attentive and nice. I got all my makeup and eyelashes from napoleon as well. I'll get a makeup trial from my sister over the weekend. I also get to see the bridesmaid dresses for the first time tomorrow, I'm so excited!

Easiest way to break in shoes Jessie is to wet them but probably not a fantastic idea for wedding shoes, works a treat for boots. A pair of thick socks works a treat though, it's how I've been breaking in mine. Just wear them for 20min at a time so you don't get blisters and they'll stretch a little. I keep forgetting to put mine on though so I'm hoping they won't be painful on the day!

I'm going to be running round all next week to see if I can find a new florist :( The lady I have is lovely but I really don't like the idea of my flowers being picked up 5 days before the wedding! And on top of that, she can't get them to my Aunt until 10:30am, who then has an hour half hike with them which will have them arriving at midday just as the photographer does but it means the window to get them to the boys is gone. I just think it might be potentially easier to just get someone local who can deliver them. I don't think I would have been saving much using the other lady anyway, she mentioned on Wednesday that while she's doing them at cost, she doesn't have an ABN so she pays retail for them. If she had've told mum that in the first place instead of making out it would save me lots I wouldn't have bothered, it's a lot of hassle for not a lot of savings. Just hoping there's someone who's available at such short notice.

Definitely get someone if it will put your mind at ease. It's probably not worth the extra stress at this point, I hope you find someone soon!

I'm definitely going to try the thick sock thingy, I'm also wearing them to my hens this weekend to break them in.

Kate I hope you find someone in time that will do what you want.

I've been wearing my shoes to practice for our dance lessons so that I get used to them, but they are getting dirty. Im going to have to figure outa way to clean them. Anyone have any ideas? They are just a plain white. I'm contemplating just contact cleaning them with napisan.

What kind of material are they, Mel? Contact cleaning is probably the way to go either way.

A white satin, its more the inside of the shoes, and only a small amount on the outside. We have two more lessons so I will do it most likely after that.

Oh bum, satin is a b*tch to clean. Try lightly cleaning them with a little bit of nappy sand but it's likely you'll just move the dirt around on the shoes and get water stains. Can you maybe get one of those stain remover pens from target and try that?

ETA actually I would research it abit before you try anything, I've never had anything but bad results with cleaning satin so I don't want to be responsible for wrecking your shoes! If you can, take them to a shoe repair place.

It sshould be ok as its just dirty on the foot part of the shoe which you cant see anyway so worth risking. But yeah Il look into it, once I have them on they dont look dirty.

Super nervous! I badly miscalculated with money, I thought I had an extra week which would have been an extra 400 on the bar tab. Bum!

You must be so excited to have your holiday

ok guys the good news or the bad news?

Good news- had my dress fitting tonight. The dress looks just gorgeous.I am finally actually happy with it. I've never felt 100% about it until tonight with the hem done (same experience as you Jessie) and fitting me perfectly and no back fat (I told her that last time I felt she had done it too tight and there was a bum crack up my back - see previous photo to check it out) and now it looks just stunning.

Bad news- our honeymoon was booked with air australia to hawaii. Which means that we have just lost our flights, $3000, and pretty much my hope for a great honeymoon. I hope erin is ok and that she wasn't booked with them too.

so so so devo-I will express myself in emotocons...
:( :e_boohoo:
