Have you any ideas at all or not? I tried on over 60 dresses in the end I think before I decided to get mine made

Yep we're having a videographer. We weren't going to initially, but two good friends of mine who are recently married strongly recommended we get it done.

Deadly serious, my poor bridesmaids swear that it was over 60 though and that was when they lost count :)

Yeah I know that feeling, 5k on ours (eeek!) hence the question mark about a videographer hehe!

Part 4! At this rate there will probably be Part 10 by the end of 2012

Lisa, if you were thinking of buying from bridalgown.net, it's about time to order it :)

Regarding videographer, we decided to have one after seeing how nice some wedding videos can be

I probably tried on about 10-15 dresses before I got sick of it and picked one haha.

I think we found our BM dresses this weekend! I really like them and as two of my BMs are bigger girls, I wanted something to soft and flowy and these are great.

The jury is still out on whether we are having a video - I would really like to have it, but I don't know if we can fit it into the budget :(

I tried on a lot of dresses, maybe 30? I was lucky to find mine on the first day we went, I had fun trying them all on though :D

I'm very much a walk in and say 'bring stuff to me' person.. I struggle to visualise what a dress will look like on... I've fallen in love with two Maggie Sotteros, but they are just released and I can't even find a photo of either on the website...

FH is adamant he doesn't want me to order from bridalgown.net, because he gets funny about these things and thinks it won't get here in time... the asking price (at the shop) is pretty reasonable (in within my budget), and being newly released I'm not sure if bridalgown.net could help? Where do you go for alterations etc after buying off there btw?

There's this little voice in my head that keeps thinking it's too good to be true, so something will go wrong... I stress too much, which is probably why FH doesn't want me ordering online lol

I could email and ask regardless I suppose... but I'm running short on time (crazy how far in advance they need to be ordered!)

We're not having a videographer, have invested in a good photographer and a small photo booth instead

I was like you, had the exact same thoughts before I ordered my dress. If it wasn't because ordering through the bridal shop was way out of my budget, I wouldn't have resorted to bridalgown.net either. It was the only way I could get my dream gown without breaking the bank. If ordering through the shop is still within your budget then I would say go for it, because it's not worth the worry and hassle of ordering online (customs tax, not arriving on time etc).

In regards to alterations, Malin has recently recommended a tailor in Brisbane city who's altering her dress so I'd most likely go with her. I don't think my dress has got any major things to be done, just taking up the hem and adding bustles.

I didn't even think about Customs tax... And GST for purchases of over $1000...

You were really organised Eunice, if I wasn't cutting it fine I'm sure it would be ok :-/

I like them too, Erin! I think all BMs will like them as well. We'll get them in either a sage green or a mint green. I think the girls like sage best so probably that colour.
