Hi im newbie, well not really but I've only just built up the courage to post.

Thought I might introduce myself. My name is Kerrie, 25 and I have 3 beautiful kids. DF and i have been together for over 6 1/2 years and got engaged almost 5 1/2years ago. We have finally decided that now is the right time to get married and the big day in on the 10th November.

Im so excited,I rang up and made an appt for Monday to try my dress on again. It has been 10wks since i first tried in on and put it on layby but it didn't fit me eeekkk. It was only 5wks after I had my 3rd bubba but since then I've lost 9.1kgs . So fingers crossed it fits. My mum thinks its going to swim on me now.

So what stage of planning are you guys up to?

We just hit the 5 month mark! I looked at the calendar and its 23 or so weeks until the wedding! Can't wait and it can't came fast enough!

Quick update from me...Had my first dress fitting yesterday! The dress is literally two pieces pinned together - so not nearly finished yet - but the photos are a good gauge at how its going to look - SO EXCITED!!!

Just over 4 months to go and my dress arrived on Monday.
August will be very busy. I am going to Hawaii on Monday coming for 10 days so when I get back we have to make appointments to see the cake lady, have a hair trial, see the priest for more talking, and then get my dress alterations going./ Oh and get the invites out. . . . busy

I'm going to try for 3 months if I can get my act together. Mainly because I have family coming from interstate

Hi ladies!!!! Time is going by so quickly isn't it!

In regards to invites - argh. We have had a few issues.
We always planned to post ours at at the 3 month mark and all at the same time....but a few weeks ago we started getting heaps of people asking for the registry details.

So we have sent half (all my family's side) out at the 4 month mark....and all of the overseas ones too.

The rest will go out at the 3 month mark because FMIL does not think their side of the family want to get theres so early!

So we have had to tailor the invitation "send date" to each families specific needs. A bit annoying but it keeps everyone happy!

I want to send ours out soon but we haven't decided on some of the finer details - eg what to do re:registry and we are organising a bus but haven't worked out the pickup/drop off points yet. What is the general rule for RSVP date? I can't remember when our venue said they need final numbers.

M if you are looking at this look away NOW!!!!!

Wohoo congrats - I am getting married on the 3 November in the Hunter Valley! Where are you getting married??

FINALLY things for me are falling into place!!!

1. My bridesmaid dresses are in Sydney customs - have finally arrived!!!
2. I have finally lost some weight - after 3 weeks of going nuts, I am finally down 700g and into the 64s.
3. I have always wanted to wear a blingy belt with my dress, but there was no way I was going to pay the $300 that the bridal stores were charging. And it was too risky buying it from etsy in case it didn't quite suit my dress. So, I went to a few bridal stores on Saturday just to see what I could find....and one store had a gorgeous belt, exactly what I was looking for. It was used and a bit grubby but they were happy to sell it to me for $30! Bargain! I called up my designer straight away and she said to pop into the store. She said she would be able to fix it up for me no problems, and would be able to sew it directly onto the dress, so there would be no belt part!!!!! So, I ended up getting my belt after all for only $30!!!!

We are just starting to get RSVPs back - now that is exciting! Each day there is 2 or 3 there and I cant wait to open them up and see who has responded. lol

Wow how exciting, of course!!

I spoke to my actual wedding coordinator for the first time today. She seems so much better than the ditzy rude girl who was covering for her. Also the candelabra centrepieces that we were told weren't available and wouldn't be replaced are now available and I have a meeting on saturday to discuss. Last check 100 days and a few hours to go!!!! Invites are being finalised now. Just formatting to be sent to cards and pockets!


oh and honeymoon booked! Fiji for 7 luxurious nights ...3 days at home 5 days in victoria.
