Post your bombinere ideas here

Mon May 03, 2004 11:23 am

I saw this on this website. You don't have to fork out the $14US for them either. All you need is some crystals, some floating candles and some organza bags and there you go :D

http://www.weddingdayoriginals.com/

They have lots of ideas and things on this website. Well worth a looksy.

Cheers,

Naomi :P

I am sorry but I could not go past this. I so want to have these on our table.

Little packets of flower seeds invite guests to "Plant A Memory" of your wedding! Each packet measures 2 1/4" x 3 3/8". You can personalise it with your first names, wedding date, choice of available designs, and foil color.

You then place the planting instructions (grab some seeds of your favourite flower, maybe one of your wedding flowers and way them in a sachel) inside the cover. You could even be creative and make a poem or something to go in there with a special message.

How easy :D

OR, yes there is an OR...
If you have a green thumb like me and love plants etc, then you could plant a seed in individual pots and decorate like the one below after it has turned into a seedling. How cute and not so costly bombinere idea either.

Sorry, I am home sick, have been since Friday and I am trying to cheer myself up.

Cheers,

Naomi :P

Naomi, I love the idea of the seeds.
I went to the bridal exhibition on Saturday and they had these tiny little trees in a a bit of dirt wrapped up with a personalised card of the wedding and I really liked them. It's different to the usual chocolates. I'm going to try and see how much it would costs to make them. i think I would only give them to the females and for the male I would have some boring old chocolates.

We're having packaged Island Produce (old women's factory) fudge, wrapped in white gloss paper. We asked for a selection of fudge, rather than one particular flavour.

We are having homemade picture frames. Mini size ones.

We'll have a poem inserted in it.. maybe with a pic of FH & i in the background with the guests'names up the top...

Not too sure if we'll have one per couple or not though... of course singles will get one for themselves.

Have to speak with FH about this further.

Any ideas on what i should do ???

We had shotglasses with a Ferrero Rocher in it wrapped in organza type material for the boys - and a lavender bag sachet with an appliqued heart for the girls - the first 10 were fun to make, the last however many were like "what on earth did I start this for???" haha

We're probably going to have white boxes filled with silver dipped hearts (see pics). They are from Urban Weddings (http://www.urbanweddings.com.au).

We are having stubby coolers for the boys (wetsuit type), with a screenprinted message on them and wine identifiers for the girls. Also making the serviettes for the tables (out of the same colour as the bridesmaids) and embroiding the guests names on them so they double as placecards

We had sandalwood fans. The shop was selling them at $2, I manage to buy them @ $1 as I bought 200 of them. I bought the tulle for 10 cents each and sugared almonds (cant rem how much MIL got them for). But they turned out great and everyone loved them :) Here is what they looked like but with tulle & sugared almonds attached with ribbons

We are having mini bottles of Riccadonna champagne with an organza bag attached containing 4 choch hearts and 3 almonds. Thankyou card also attached. Finished off with a bow made from silver edged ribbon.

We have a tradition where we give favours to each family or couple, not person, so it works out cheaper! Gotta love tradition sometimes!

These bottles work out to $6.60 each.
