How original is that though Azema :D Well done. Your guests will love it for sure. It is something different and unique. Good find sweet :D

You tell the doll your worries and then put them under your pillow when you go to bed. In the morning your worries are gone... apparently :D

We are having (well if all goes to plan) noodle boxes, about 60C each from our local party and packaging store, with chocolates. We are having a beach theme so there will be some blue ribbon somewhere and possibly a matching shell or star fish left over from the invitations

To also use this as a table placing I am hoping to find some soft metal rectangles (kind of like dog tags) which i can emboss with each name. I know I have seen these tags on a scrapbooking website, but have lost the address, does anyone know where I can get some from?

I have bought my bombonierre from the US, hopefully it will arrive ok as I had some trouble with the company who were quite hopeless. Since it is a tea strainer, I only got one per couple as there is no need for two per house!

Thanks so much! I forgot to add that we bought some personalised ribbon to wrap around the stick part as they said that they didn't come in a nice box and it was easier that way than hvaing everyone wonder why there was only one box per couple. :D

You can get those metal tags (in a pretty good range of colours) from just about any hardware store. They're quite cheap too!

Roc Candy

Thu Apr 21, 2005 1:18 pm

Like a few on this post i've got SOOOOO many ideas and FH is getting a bit annoyed that i can't make up my mind!!

My idea at the moment is Roc Candy (http://www.roccandy.com.au) with a chocolate "skin" i think you'd call it, the same colour as my b'maids, in a noodle box with chocolate organza ribbon tied to the handle with a thank you note attached.

Who knows what my idea will be tomorrow but for now i'm pretty happy with that!!

Change my mind like i change my undies!!!

Wed Apr 27, 2005 3:23 pm

I've changed my mind YET AGAIN!!!! But i can't change it back this time....i've spent the money!!

I found a website called You're Invited ( http://www.yourinvited.com.au ) and they have shot glasses for $0.79 plus freight. I bought 100 of them and freight to Nth Qld was only $20. I'm going to buy 200 gold-foiled choc hearts and put 2 in each glass and then wrap them up in tulle circles. All up i've spent less than $2 per guest!!!

I'm so proud of me!!! (so is FH now that i've FINALLY made up my mind  )

Congrats on your decision Macca's Babe! You're Invited is a fantastic site .... I've ordered our invitations from there.

I've found another great site called Invitations and Boxes (http://www.invitationsandboxes.com). We've decided on the "White Shimmer" satchels, having them personalised with our names and wedding date ... and they were only $1 each. Our theme is silver, so we are having silver ribbon to hold the satchels closed. Not sure yet what we're putting inside ..... maybe silver foiled chocolate hearts.

Macca's babe, I did very similar, except I put a Ferrero Rocher in them.

I don't know how much tulle circles are, but I ended up getting a couple of metres of organza, about $6.99 a metre and cut them up into squares with pinking shears (zigzag cuts). By the time I put ribbon around them you honestly wouldn't know if they were square or round. It might be a cheaper option than the tulle circles???

Bon Bon Ideas

Mon May 02, 2005 9:19 am

I am liking the idea of the small noodle boxes but was after some suggestions on something a little bit different to put inside them (instead of chocolates)
does anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers

If you still want something edible, you could have Jelly Belly Jelly Beans, personalised Roc Candy or Fortune Cookies

I brought the Bo Peep jars from Darrell Lea (they gave me a bulk discount). Then went to a florist supply shop in Brisbane and brough heaps of little white butterflys (the kind that are made out of wire & netting). I wrapped the wire stem from the butterfly around the neck of the little bottle and wrapped an organza ribbon over the top to hide the wire. I then designed a little thank you with individual's name and printed it onto little round white stickers from officeworks. Put the whole lot together and they doubled as a name tag & bon bon!
