I just want to note quickly that the purpose of this topic is to help brides with their budgeting, please refrain from making it into a discussion about how much you should or shouldn't spend. There are people from all walks of life on this forum, so please, no judgements on the amounts spent or budgeted.

Edited to include actual spent on extra pages in album and dry cleaning of dress :D

Thanks for posting allicat! Your actual wedding only came to $14k - that's great!

I reckon honeymoons go under "holidays". Our o/s trip earlier in the year came to $20K and was worth every penny. :D

Yeah that was DH's only criteria - that we had to spend more on the honeymoon than the wedding!!! So cute...

I'm not adding everything I've only just started and its starting to look scary. I've told FH that there is no point in trying to work to a budget and add everything up, I'm just going to get the best deal I can with everything! I hope :|

Eeeps, I started up a pre-wedding cost sheet but broke my laptop, so lost the file. However, I knew we were up to a few thousand without even realizing. I wrote things such as - magazines, bridal show entry fee, knick knacks etc

Anyway - for the main things:

Clothing and Accessories:
My Dress - $185
My Shoes - $45
Hoop - $35
Veil - $135
Jewellery - $60

Bridesmaid Jewellery - $20
Groom and Groomsmen Suits - $200
Bridesmaids Dresses & Shoes - $0 - paid for their own

Bouquets - $TBA
Hair - $TBA - a few hundred after the trial etc
Makeup - $75
Wedding Rings - $2000

Reception/Ceremony:
Celebrant - $0
Ceremony Decorations: $50 - made myself, just needed materials

DJ: music supplied on CD and a friend is playing a guitar and flute for us!
Reception: $8000 -food and alcohol budet
Guestbook: $25
Cake: $145 for topper , friend supplying cake as gift!
Bombonaires - $150
Invitations - $300

Transport:
Car - $TBA

Photographers:
$800

Accomodation for Wedding Night and Night Before with Bridesmaids:
$TBA 0 budget about $300

Total for Wedding: $12525 So far, not including the TBA stuff and the pre-wedding list I had going. I would say about $15000 all up! Ugh..that doesn't include honeymoon budget either...add about $700 for flights alone.

I always thought I would just chuck on a BBQ in the backyard and have a good ol party! It would be much cheaper!

This is great. We've just started to plan our wedding and FH exact words were "we should be able to do everything for $5000. Anything extra would be overkill right?" HA! I just showed him this thread and he's tripled the budget.
