Looking for boot/shoe maker

Mon Jun 15, 2009 2:49 pm

Hi girls

Need a bit of help every winter I'm on the hunt for a pair of boots that actually fit and never find it. I've pretty much given up. All I want is a pair of knee high boots with a bit of a heel nothing special but just can't seem to find any that fit my calves. I've tried elasticised and they won't do either. I have seriously looked everywhere so now I'm resigned to thinking the only way I can get what i'm after is to get them made no matter what the cost. The could cost me $1000 I don't care they'll last me a lifetime and they'll actually fit around my calves. So I'm coming to you girls asking if you know of any boot makers or shoes makers that I can go to?

Thanks in advance

I'm having my wedding shoes made for me too - can't wait to try them on in a few weeks time!

The keyword you need when searching is bespoke.

Here's one in Melbourne you could try:
http://www.threethousand.com.au/goods/bespoke-boots-by-emma-the-shoemaker/

Her actual website is below, and she does special requests if those shown aren't to your tastes
http://www.emmatheshoemaker.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=62 -

There's also (not in Melbourne but in Victoria):
http://www.doccobbler.com.au/

And you could perhaps try here, but they don't have a website/telephone number:

Hope this helps!
