selling your wedding dress

It's funny that I only read this thread a couple of weeks ago and thought "yep I will probably get stuck with mine too" ..... and then out of the blue I got a query, she loved it and bought it there and then, for the full asking price. I thought I would be really happy (and lets be honest now I have money for shoe shopping so its not all bad!!!) but there was a part of me that was also a little sad - I think a part of me thought "oh well if I can't sell it, it just means I get to keep it!!" It is a nice though though that someone else will get use from it and seems to love it as much as I did.

So maybe you just need to hang in there. I used I Do Gowns and for a one-off fee (I think it was about $30??) you can leave it there til it sells......Just need to wait for the right person to see it.

Most don't sell because people want too much for them. You could always donate it. My mother turned hers into cot sheets.

I was only asking $250, i didn't think that was too much for a $2500 dress + veil + matching bag + gloves? maybe it is?

I have also tried several times through ebay and gumtree to sell mine, it a maggie sottero and its beautiful i just cant seem to seel it

I have a friend that was trying to sell her wedding dress and she also tried ebay and gumtree but ended up selling it on a website called Still White. Worth having a look at.

I don't know if this helps, but I was looking for a second hand dress on ebay for a while and I gave up because it was so hard setting the search criteria to get through all of the chinese made dresses
