Re: Photos and weight *sighs* long way to go!

Sun Jan 09, 2011 11:32 pm

I've lost 1.7 kilos in 6 days!!!! 8O :o  :o 8O

Big shock I can tell you but it is amazing, nor has it been too hard so far.

Weight Watchers Icecream and mousse has been my saviour, if I am craving something yummy I just allow myself to have one of those after dinner.

But safe to say I am very pleased with myself!!!!

Thanks ladies, I feel that this is a really good start, as I lose motivation quickly and if I hadn't lost anything I would have been very sad.

Technically I lost 2.1, as I weigh on mondays, but I couldn't wait so sunday's weigh counts!

I refuse to weigh myself daily as my changes too often over a week

Woohoo!!! Well done, jodie - that's a fantastic kickstart! You must be so happy with that :)

for a sweet treat that I can only imagine has even less calories, try aeroplane jelly lite. There is something strangely satisfying about wibbly wobbly jelly :) we make 6 serves from the two sachets in the box, I think each serve is 7 calories? Or maybe 9?

Great goals and love the reward idea thats fantastic, well done, so hopefully there will be a new excersise bike in your house within the next few weeks!!

We are about the same weight and have very similar goals, although I started off heavier originally at 79kgs and am now at 73.2Kgs and want to get down to something in the low 60's but need to get down to around 66-67kgs before my wedding..

I look forward to seeing how you go good luck!!

good idea with the goals! id suggest shopping a bit earlier - even for a couple of basic things to get you through unless you happen to have a heap of small clothes still in your wardrobe.

i needed to buy things at about 65kgs, as everything i had was becoming ridiculous and falling off! (i even had pants taken in before that that started to fall off...)

Hehe thanks :) I may move it up a bit, dep on my weight.

I have a few skirts in a 10-12 but that is it. Having them in my wardrobe made me sad so I got rid of them!

Thanks, yeah I would love to have it by the end of Jan (fingers crossed)

I started at 78 in June last year and was VERY slowly getting a few kilos off, but I am MUCH MUCH more serious now.

Starting Weight: 74.5
Current Weight: 72.0
Loss To Date: 2.5 - 3.36% of my body gone

Considering they suggest 500g as the amount to lose for long term, sustainable weight loss, I'd say 800g is more than ok!!!

Remember, you shouldn't deny yourself stuff - having a few drinks on the weekend isn't so bad (unless you drank copious amounts on both days). A cheat day every week
is actually beneficial - it'll give your metabolism a boost and you also don't feel deprived of the foods you love that you may not be eating on the other days..

Nice work Jodie! 800grams is definately stepping in the right direction! And like Amber said its best to get it off slowly and keep it off then quickly and put it back on!
