COME MEET OUR NEW KITTEN - One month already! Pg 5 pics

Thu Sep 10, 2009 1:35 pm

Hey girls,

FH and I are wanting a kitten for our two kids as a little present. We would rather get a kitten that needs a home and are looking for one on the Gold Coast if anyone knows of a friend who's cat has had bubbas!! :D

Thanks girls!

Re: LOOKING FOR FREE KITTEN ON THE GOLD COAST?!?!

its not free but the RSPCA puts down many many kittens each and every week... most kitties with RSPCA go for about $250 i think but thats fully vet checked and vaccinated, micro-chipped, desexed and some locations even give you a little pet pack with food and a collar too.

when desexing (over $100) and microchipping (about $50) and a vet check (anywhere from $50 up) and then vaccination ($$) is getting close to $250 anyway, why not save a little kitten from imminent death?

Well, no luck at the shelter today

All of the cats were a little older and the lady said most don't handle excited toddlers once they are past a certain age, so we are back on the hunt for a kitten. Our bubs are 4 and 2 and I guess it will probably be better for the three of them to get to know each other if we get a young one.

So, we're still looking if anyone knows of a furry baby needing a home between Tweed Heads & South Brisbane?!?

Keep trying the shelters, they should have plenty of kittens in soon (kitten season coming up). Please try and avoid buying kittens from unregistered breeders, it encourages the practice of 'back yard breeding' (breeding animals purely for profit without concern for the health of the animal and their offspring).

We got ours for $155 three months ago. :) Little cutie, saved from the pound. We picked him up from the RSPCA and he's been bringing A LOT of joy to our lives.

I know!! She is SO sweet... she was the quiet one in the cage, just chillin' out while the other kittens jump up & down & did "Look at me, pick me!" (and if I could have, I would have taken all 3 home  )

Then we get her home & she has SO much personality and is jumping about having a ball!! FH is COMPLETELY in love and smitten... it's so cute!
