wood stains in carpet..

ok so i have a sock basket that sits on our lounge floor, its a nice little wicker basket brought from the warhouse, and its a dark stain.. well one of the kids must have spilt some water under it cause now i have this huge dark wood stain on my cream carpet! and i dont know how to get it out! i haev tried a strain remover from the carpet cleaners but that didnt work.. does anyone have any ideas?

There are a few products around that you could try. First thing I would try is bi-carb. Just spray water over the stain and then rub bi-carb into it. Leave it to absorb the stain then vaccum once it dries. Repeat a few times if you notice any improvement.

For me I would most likely give it a few goes at cleaning and then if nothing worked I would always make sure there was a basket there to cover it until it was time for new carpet.
