Check with either bdm or smart traveller.com.au from memory it is a letter proving you have not been married before. You may not legally be able to be married twice so if you are getting married in oz prior to leaving for Bali maybe explain to your coordinator that you want to go through the motions but not have a legal wedding.

I just recenlty got married in Bali and the last post is correct. You are only legally allowed to be married once. Therefore if you get married in Aust you are not able to get legally married in Bali. What some people do to avoid this problem is get legally married in Aust and then have a non-legal ceremony in Bali. However, if you have a non-legal ceremony in Bali then you do not sign a certificate. I believe that you can only get a certificate of no impedment if you are not legally married.
