I'm all organised out. E-party in two weeks time, returned to full time work this week & my boy has started crawling.

Oh and not only is it 6 months till the wedding... it's like 6 weeks till xmas weeks till my boy is 1

Bergette those dresses are beautiful Is your dressmaker Catherine R Couture in Ivanhoe?? She makes fantastic dresses, I tried a couple of hers on but ended up going with Simonelli Couture in Ivanhoe just up the road. I personally like the 1st one more but have you tried those styles on, because sometimes the style you think you want doesnt always suit the most, I found that out Good luck with it all.

i have tried on Shopie before but not isabelle. i have tried on a few similar at Mariana Hardwick (Sapphire, Vettiane etc). I wont be getting it made by Catherine though as i have a dress maker who has done all our wedding dresses in my family and i am her last client before she retires. I love Sophie too... thinking about dropping the waist a little bit though more like Isabelle. So confusing!

I am sure your dressmaker will do a beautiful job, yes it all depends on the size of your bust I think which dress would suit better and how low you have the waist. So exciting, where are you getting married?

H girls! Seeing as though we are at the six months mark i was just waondering how everyone is going with their plans? I feel like i am so far behind and its only 6 months now!!! It would be great if everyone would share how they're going
I so far have: dress ordered, photographer, videographer, reception, ceremony, music for reception and ceremony, celebrant... maybe thats it?
I plan to organise cars, florist and BRIDESMAID DRESSES very soon!! Is there anything major i am forgetting?

Ok so this is where I'm at now...

Paid for:
Wedding bands - FH's is made, mine is being made, will leave with the jeweller till MUCH closer to the date
Hair Accessory
Earrings

Deposits paid for:
Reception Venue
Church
Photographer
Florist - need to have discussions to pick definite flowers etc
Cake - need to have discussions on definite
Band - May be adding another member to the band depending on $
Dress - Ordered, 4 mths of pmnts to go - should arrive in Feb-March
BM dresses - have bought 1, the other is on order...and should arrive Jan
Make up & Hair - same people - have paid about 1/2 off, will pay rest on the day, may add MOB to get her makeup done as well

Currently working on:
Shoes for me and the BM - looking around online, found some I like, waiting on swatches to arrive to pick a colour, and the BM's to size their feet lol
Invites - Friend is a paper merchant and graphic designer and working on the invites for us....hoping to keep costs very low for this...we'll see....and on that note will hopefully be talking to parents and PIL re guest list and any issues.
BM gifts - want to get them a clutch that matches their shoes,
Bonbonierre - hopefully sourcing cardboard from paper merchant friend and chocolates and fudge from MOB who works in retail

Things We'll be looking at sorting out over the next few months -
Suits - Groom + GMen, shoes, ties socks etc
Gifts - Gmen, Parents, My friend doing the invites
Accommodation nite before and nite of
Honeymoon - (once holidays are absolutely confirmed for both of us)
Contacting the Reception Venue re menu options, seating plan etc)
meeting with the priest and hopefully doing their pre-marriage course


Things we know we'll do but need to do closer to the date:
Transport - we're just going to hire a couple of "luxury" cars from Budget or Avis
Dancefloor
menu "tasting" where we go to the restaurant the chef works at and try some food (not the same as on the actual menu)
Organising table numbers, menus, oos (if we have them), place cards etc

Make up - know who i want, will meet her this weekend at bridal expo and hopefully book a trial for the following week.
Bonbonierre - stubby coolers. waiting for company to get back to me to start design process.
BM dresses - decided on the design, getting 3 dresses made in Singapore
Florist - Silk flowers from Etsy seller. She is working on a sample for me. No deposit required yet.
Program Fans - Etsy seller, paid design fee. waiting for sample to arrive.
DJ - need to arrange meetings with possible DJs

Things We'll be looking at sorting out over the next few months:

Dress - Style chosen and 50% deposit paid to my dress maker. Going to see her this weekend for first fitting (I hope!)
Celebrant - Confirmed and deposit paid. Draft ceremony sent to celebrant for review and comment.
Hair & Make Up - Mobile hairdresser confirmed. My cousin's fiancee will be doing the make up. Need to organise a trial for both.
Flowers - Confirmed and deposit paid
Venue decorations (i.e. centre pieces, chair covers etc) - Confirmed and deposit paid
Bridesmaid Dresses - Styles chosen and deposits paid. Being made by the same dress maker as the wedding dress. First fitting for the girls will be later this month.

Invitations - blank wedding invitations & RSVP cards purchased from kikki.k. Need to design the actual invite wording and put them all together.
Bonbonniere - Little chair box thingies purchased. Need to organise what to put in them!! Also need to work on turning them into place cards.
Music for reception - We've decided to use the ipod on the laptop with our stereo system. Need to put together the playlist.
Gifts for the bridal party - We've got a basic idea of what we want to buy.. Just need to make a final decision and go and buy stuff!
Wedding underwear - Just need to buy a pair of fancy knickers..
Seating arrangements - Will need to wait to confirm who's coming first!! Shouldn't be too difficult with 1 big banquet table for 36 people..
After Wedding Party - We're having another reception style event a couple of months after the wedding.. Just need to figure out a date (when photos etc will be ready) and book a venue.
