I'm no longer a December bride. :(

We bumped the wedding up two weekends though, so that is super exciting...and I agree, the weather has been ALL OVER the place. It's been so hard to get a read on what it would be like around the same time this year. Eep! 8O

Hi Girls,
So far all we have done is the reception and photographer...... still deciding on ceremony. I haven't even started looking for a dress yet so I think I better get a move on! Where are your receptions being held?

Hi Ladies,

I'm getting married on December 1st.

Here is what I have planned already:
- ceremony and reception venue
- celebrant
- wedding dress
- cars
- cake

I'm going to start getting into it after our engagement party in April.

Looking forward to sharing this journey with fellow December brides!

Hi December ladies!

Well I was originally going to be a November bride, but we decided on December 1st! So far we have booked our reception venue (Lake Crackenback) and our photographer (Fusion Photography). Next step is the celebrant!

Am I really far behind with the planning?! Please tell me I'm not!

I'm a December bride, we are getting married December 1st, day before FH's birthday!
So far we have booked the reception venue and I have put a deposit on my dress.

The next thing to do is BM dresses, I have 4 and getting them together will be a challenge!

My FH didn't want to have BMs and GMs. Hopefully this won't look weird on the day! Although I am glad that I won't need to worry about BM dress shopping and stuff like that... people can be so hard to organise!

I've been to two wedding where there were no BM or GM and it wasn't strange at all. In fact the Bride and Groom stood out so much as they were the only ones standing up the front (besides the priest).
:D

Eeek, almost 9 months to go. I want it to come quickly but at the same time I'm worried about getting everything organised in time. I am enjoying the planning part so far, which I didn't expect, but then again I haven't put many of the plans into action yet.

Hi Ladies!

We're December 1st too, and so excited!!!

Got engaged on 5th Jan and my planning so far is:

- Booked Ceremony/Reception Venue (same place) - gorgeous garden called Athol Gardens in regional NSW
- Booked Photographer
- Booked and met with Celebrant
- Booked Cake Lady (no idea of what cake we want yet but her cakes are so yummy so we just booked her)
- Picked and paid deposit on my dress
- Picked BM's dresses
- Booked Florist (still working out what flowers)
- Have invitation samples

So at the moment we are up to trying to find music for the reception and so on. Also need to plan the Engagement Party which will be in August as some of my DF's family will not be able to get here until then.

Sooooooo Much to Do!!!!!

Wow Mel, sounds like you are doing really well with your planning!

Time for me to really get cracking and lock in a celebrant and start looking for the dress!

The dress for me was the easy part. Organising quotes for entertainment, flowers, photographers etc. is the hard part! I guess I was so lucky to find my dress so quickly that I was hoping everything else would be the same. Wishful thinking!!

Would love to see some pics once you have gone shopping. I have a photo of mine but I can't upload it until I have access to a computer. I am so used to using my phone for the internet that I keep forgetting to pick my laptop up. As good as the phone is to browse, its way too hard to do all the uploads!

Hi Ladies,

We get married 1st December too! - looks like its a popular date! :)

I have organised

Ceremony & Reception venues
Priest
Photographer
Ordered my dress - have my shoes & jewellery
Know what I want for BM's - getting them made closer to the date
BM's shoes picked
Got music down to 1 DJ & 1 band - have to choose between the two after I hear the band
Favours, invitations, name cards, OOS etc planned - waiting till we get a bit closer to actually order
Hair & Make-up booked
Accomodation the night before sorted
Florist chosen & I know what I want for my flowers - waiting till we get closer to finalise order
Cake chosen - have a friend making it

Still need to organise
Cars
Guys outfits (I know what I want though)
Wedding Rings (again I know what I want - we will have to pick FH though)
Waiting to hear back from a place about night of wedding accomodation (currently being renovated)

Ummm...i think that's about all! Can't wait for the big day!!!

Hi N&C, sounds like you are really on top of your planning :)

I took a trip up to Sydney this weekend to go dress shopping with my mum, and we found my dress! It's "Sapphire" by Sylvia Rose. Dress shopping was so much fun! They are sending me a swatch of the fabric so I can start to look for shoes and other things.
