FH really wanted me to walk down the aisle to Cannon in D, but it is the last thing I want
I have no connection to it. It has no meaning to us as a couple (then again, we don't really have any songs that mean anything to us as a couple!)
So I think we have reached a compromise
Andre Reiu (Yeah I know right?) and his version of Edelweiss from my most favourite movie, The Sound of Musichttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzqVuieinTg
I love how it starts slow and builds right at the end. I don't know why I didn't think of it before!
And his end of the deal - we get to walk back down the aisle to the James Bond Theme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ii1tc493bZM
Loving your choice, lady!
FH's favourite movie is Sound of Music, so I have asked him to arrange 'Something Good' for me to walk down the aisle to. His brass quintet is playing (hopefully, and we have to find a replacement trombone player as FH will NOT be playing!) and I am hoping it will sound magical.
No firm ideas on recessional, but have tossed up the following:
'Baby (you've got what it takes)' By Michael Buble feat Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings
'Hallelujah I love her so', a capella version by The Idea of North
'Rosanna' by Toto, which I just adore! It has some slamming brass parts in it. If only my name was Rosanna! Will get FH to arrange (if he can be bothered!) or possibly my BIL who is a huge Toto fan.
