We are having Smile by Uncle Kracker.

It's a beautiful song and it makes me cry when I think about Matt with it.

Gabriels Oboe by a string quartet most likely although I'm toying with Bittersweet symphony or Cannon D

We used "This Year's Love" by David Grey for the aisle song.

My Bm's are walking down to 'Watermark' by Enya and my Junior BM ( My 9 yr old daughter ) and myself are walking down to the song 'River flows in you' the Lindsey stirling version.

I am a sucker for some amazing instrumentals however :)

I'm having a hard time choosing between "Fix You" by Coldplay or "We are young" by Fun - both quartet instrumental versions.

my fh found the most gorgeous song by Angus & Julia Stone, its called the wedding song and fh had tears rolling down his face (he's a tough guy softy) as he was playing it to me. Definately what me and the bridesmaids are walking down the aisle to.

I was just wondering, My fiance and I have a song "Our Song", but it isn't a love song.
It is Shimmer by Fuel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0QMfK9hzgA&ob=av2e

We've found a slightly less rock version of the song by Boyce Avenue

Is it OK to walk down the aisle to a song that it really not about love at all, if it is special to the two of you?

Hey everyone, I have been filming weddings for several years in and around Brisbane and by far the most common piece of music to walk down the aisle to is Canon in D Major.

Some other perhaps not so common be equally as beautiful are:
- Hoppipolla by Sugur Ros
- New Religion by Black Label Society
- Lough Erin Shore by The Corrs
- Somewhere over the Rainbow (version by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole) - my favourite!
- Only Time by Enya

hope this helps!

We had one song and it was Songbird by Eva Cassidy.... I think if you had 2 songs it would break up the nice flow.... :D

Just need to use live musicians for it, but easily done. I've been a musician in a wedding where we did a medley of about 3 pieces (can't remember names).

Who ever said they used gabriels oboe... It has to be played on an oboe ffs. It's ruined on anything else (although the lyrical version is nice.)

i have to say i don't personally agree. It is a beautiful piece that sounds great on any instrument!

Anyways, I always dreamed I would walk down the aisle to Ave Maria, but I keep doubting my choice as it might sound too sad..
