I think pink dresses can look lovley on some people. Really soft and girly (which is not me and so why I didnt go with that colour) -

This is my dress in ivory but there are varying shades of ivory. A shame you cant have a pic of your dress, I must have about 5 of mine !

my theme is actually pink and purpl and 1 bridesmaid is in Fuschia pink and the other in a dark purple and when the gilr at the bridal shop told me it came in pale pink Im like ooooooooh I like that. But my daughter the bridesmaid who is wearing pink and who doesnt like pink hahah said no mum you dont want a pink wedding dress (but she biased and doesnt like pink) but Im thinking well why not its my second wedding and my theme is pink and purple. Im just wrried it may clash with the bridesmaids dresses.

My dress was pink with ivory lace: http://forum.weddingcentral.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=87375

It really depends on your skin tone to how good the pink will look on you compared to white or ivory. White and ivory really washed me out but the pink was perfect. I'd try on dresses in all the colours first even if they're not the same style.
