I was married at Macquarie Links.

There are some photos in my Hall of Fame.

It was perfect. Staff were excellent, food was amazing.

We had a little issue with drinks, so be sure to check with the function coordinator about how much of the amount you pay per guest contributes to the drink bill!

Function coordinator answered all questions quickly and I could not have been happier!!

Sweenys is lovely, but if you only have a small wedding, it looks very small in a massive hall because of the size! We only had 70 people which is why we went against sweenys!

we were married at Eschol Park house, it was perfect, the packages were excellent, service was brilliant and it was affordable, we had a may wedding so they counted that as a winter wedding which made it cheaper again, the food was awesome, from memory in may 2010 it was $100 pp including a 3 course meal and all drinks including spirits. Awesome service, John and the family out there are true experts at weddings :D
Good luck, how exciting, i loved every second of planning our big day :D

We are 99% sure we are having the ceremony at Mount Annan Botanical Gardens and are deciding between Eschol Park House, Twin Creeks Country Club, Macqarie Links Golf Club and Harrington Park Country Club as reception venues. We have appointments to view them all in the next 2 weeks, although I think Eschol Park House offers the best value out of the lot, the only thing I am hesitant about is there could be 2 other weddings there on the day.

Hi Aria,

We had one other wedding on the day of ours, we were in the room upstairs and we had our ceremony in the garden there, to be honest we didn't even notice the other wedding, the noise didn't travel, we were all up satirs before they arrrived and the first we knew of the other wedding was when we went out into the garden to have some night time photo's done, it really didn't cause any problems. John out at Eschol Park is so professional and they run everything perfectly to the last second. We found them very accomodating and helpful and the food there was beyond awesome :D

Good luck with your choice, it is so much fun looking at everything and deciding!

Hi Ladies,

I'm having my ceremony and reception at Appin House. We will probably stay in a B & B or something the night before and get ready there in the morning.

Two questions: :D

1. Can anyone recommend a nice B & B or somewhere else nice near Appin?

I've googled a few, but there is nothing like local knowledge.

2. Can anyone recommend a mobile hair dresser/make up artist?

I'm finding it difficult because my hairdresser is at Liverpool and perfers you to come into the Salon and the make up artist that I was hoping to use didn't seem too keen on travelling that far.

Thanks!

Hi Mishy, I am a local and I have heard wonderful things about Dreamcatcher lodge in Picton.

Otherwise Narellan Motor Inn is quite good - basic but clean and nice rooms.

I am still up in the air as to where I am having our reception, can I get your feedback on Appin House? Thanks :)

Well my wedding isn't until March 2013, so still a little while off. I can say the owners have been lovely to deal with and all inclusive package is takes a lot of the stress out of the planning.

The reception room itself it quite simple, but can be beautifully decorated. Don't go by the photos on the Website, they don't do the room justice. I recommend going out and having a chat to Ernie (the owner).
