I'm getting hitched on the 21st of November, 2010. Hopefully it won't be too windy but in Melb who knows what weather I'll get.

Hello, I'm new to this site...and the whole wedding thing! I work in events so I know that venues get snapped up very fast, so that is the first thing on my list I want to get ticked off.

Does anyone have any good or bad comments on Comme or the Deck at the Prince in Melbourne? We are looking for somewhere contemporary with great food, most likely a CBD venue, ideally with a bit of a view!

Thanks for any feedback :)

Coutneyrebel they are both great venues but having looked at both of them I much preferred the Prince deck especially if you are after a nice view. I have been to a wedding at Comme and the toilets were dirty and it got extremely hot and sticky, but the Prince deck is gorgeous  We were going to to book this but then we saw Ripponlea Estate and completely did a backflip from modern venue to old/vintage feel. The only problem with the deck is parking (very difficult) and if you have a lot of international/interstate guests it could be hard to find. But otherwise it comes up beautiful in photos, I have also been to a wedding there and the food and service was excellent, a great relaxed vibe. Good luck :D

Thanks Kylie! It's so hard to be able to sum up what a venue will be like. Thankfully most people who would be coming a fairly local, so it could be a good location.

Ripponlea is absolutely stunning, will make for a great day!

Courtney.

Melbourne Girls -
do any of you need a kitten? I have 2 baby kittens, possibly 6weeks old?
They turned up in our backyard and I've been keeping them safe in my garage.
They are the cutest little things ever! Super friendly and cuddly.
Please? They need good homes.
I want to keep them but I already have a cat and she's soo not coping with the little ones being around :(
I want them to go to a loving home. Not just a pet shop. I need to know they're safe and loved.
Please pm me if you're interested.
Thanks
