Hi Ladies,
I am wondering if you are able to help me, my partner and i are wanting to throw our engagement party in a couple of months and are going to surprise everyone and get married then too. We are looking for a venue that we could have this at - It would need to be somewhere like believable for an engagement party, everywhere i have looked is too bridal, the ultimate preference would be a beautiful holiday house on a couple of acres but we are having so much trouble finding this in the Brisbane area (everything is in either byron or noosa!. We live on the south side of Brisbane so somewhere around there or within 40 mins would be great. Any ideas? im going crazy and would appreciate your help!

Thanks!

Miss Summer - Friends of mine got married at Indooroopilly Golf Club a few years ago and it was lovely. Have you checked it out?

nld123 - LOVE the idea of a surprise wedding at an engagement party! I know someone who did that too :) Have you looked around Mt Tamborine/Beaudesert areas. The only places I can think of are probably too bridal but maybe worth a look?

We'd like to stay West or Central and I would love something indoors just because it is the wet season, so I would rather not have to check the weather forecast every hour in the week leading up to the big day, nervous!

I am no too fussed about water- FH is a rower, so something need the river might be nice. We'd love some where that can arrange some sort of entertainment for our guests while we're off getting photos (we were thinking bare foot bowls or mini golf) because they are all from out of town, so don't have homes here to hang out in before the wedding!

Any ideas are sooooo appreciated!

If hubby is a rower, how about the Regatta? http://www.regattahotel.com.au/

or Hill Stone Golf Club at St Lucia http://www.hillstonestlucia.com.au/2-event-spaces

Happy New Year ladies!!

We have over the holiday :e_xmas: period decided to get married in 2014!! We have been engaged a while but no $$$ so are now in gear to make it happen. I'm thinking the second half of the year before it gets too hot.

Help please :D
When is a good time - not too hot but not cold
Where is a good location for 120 people and not too exxy but nice all the same.
I want Vintage because I like it not because it's fashionable....I also want to have a beach party the next day for all of our out of town guests. I originally wanted a beach wedding but feel this is a happy medium.
Happy Planning :) Oh and I love Pinterest!!!

Hey All.
I'm currently planning an engagement party turn surprise wedding.
I'm looking for dresses for the wedding part of it soon and don't want anything ''too bridal' if that makes sense.
Maybe something full of sequins or a pale pink etc. any suggestions on some stores to visit?
A mix of bridal and a mix of just gorgeous gowns?
I love the look of a lot of the Rachel Gilbert dresses. Not a lot of options within Brisbane which isn't fun!
Appreciate any suggestions!

Also. Has anyone bought from 'White Runway' online before?
