Hey, any other Noosa brides out there. We have just come back from there and hopefully have nearly everything organised now, the pressure is off. Met some great people who were really helpful too. I can't wait.

We are getting married in Noosa.
Noosa has heaps of great locations for weddings.
Are you looking at eloping or having a small wedding?
We are expecting to have about 30 guests and have ceremony on the river. We are having exlcusive use of a restaurant in Noosa for the night, but its going to be more a casual dinner than a traditional reception.
We have found likes of great suppliers and a planning company to take some of the pressure off.
PM me if you would like some more details and some suggestions.

Congrats colleensabride! Do you live on the Sunshine Coast too?

I live in Central Queensland and am organising my Mooloolaba wedding for October 13th. I'm mostly done I think. We've got one more trip down there in August and I'm hoping to get everything finalised then.

Any other Sunny Coast brides?

Yay! We got a sunny coast thread!
Are there any brides-2-b getting married in the hinterland?
Hopefully me & h2b will, we love it up there, it's our fave place.
Does anyone have websites for sunny coast
vendors in terms of diy stationery & bridal wear?

Check out http://www.sunshinecoastweddingplanner.com there's heaps of vendors on there for both invitations and bridal wear.

But, if your location is correct wouldn't you have a great choice already in Brisbane?

Actually I'm from Elimbah, which just happens to be smack bang in the middle of both brisbane & sunny coast, we get a lot of phonebooks. I just can't seem to find good websites for the sunny coast options.

I would look at Brisbane for your wedding attire, there is just so many more options, that is what I did.

You can look at the link that 5"5 posted and http://www.weddingguide.com.au and click on the Sunshine Coast or Brisbane options.

I got married at Maleny in Nov 2006 - very hot day!!

I used:

Hair - Sandi from Rolling Scissors - Very talented & really took the time to listen to what I wanted. She also organised a girl each for me & my BM's on the day - no waiting round.

Ceremony/Reception - Tranquil Park Resort, Maleny. Peter & co were excellent. Really relaxed planning and the food was great. Many guests commented on the food. Also reasonably priced.

Celebrant - Arnaud Dejardins. Arnaud was really laidback & offered many great suggestions. He made the bridal party & the guests feel at ease on the day. Also many guests commented on how great he was.

Cake - I got our cake from French patisserie at Toowong. Not a Sunny Coast vender, but I fell in love with one of their cakes. The cake tasted fantastic.

Honeymoon - Secrets on the Lake, Montville. Awesome and very relaxing. Book early as they get booked out real quick. I remember booking 5 months before the wedding and only a few cabins were available.

I don't know of any wholesale florists but I suppose you could just ask a normal florist if they could order you a bulk lot of roses. I'm using Amanda at Flax Flower and you could also give Liz a call at A Sculpted Leaf.

Hey Girls

I posted my recs in the business recommendations thread but here they are I hope they help someone and if anyone has any questions feel free to PM me

Colleen’s Sunshine Coast Rec’s

In my wedding planning I was about five hours drive away from where we were getting married so most of my interaction with my suppliers was via phone and email and I think it is a testament to these suppliers that everything I wanted even down to the smallest details, was spot on. I have no non-recs at all.

Celebrant – Bill Scurry – I could not have asked for a better celebrant. I discussed and wrote my ceremony with him via email and phone contact. The first time I met Bill was at the end of alter as my Dad handed me over to DH. The ceremony was exactly the way I wanted it to be and I certainly didn’t expect to laugh so much during the ceremony. He made the feel of the ceremony very laid back as we had asked.

Photographer – Craig Brockbane – OMG DH and I are in love with this guy!!! We met him the day before the wedding to finalise all of our pictures and out of the 507 we received we can not find one that we don’t love!! On the day he was perfect giving instruction were needed but most of the time we didn’t know he was there.

Cake – Ideas In Icing – These girls were great I sent them a picture of cake (I morphed three cakes into one in paint-shop) and sent them a snippet of my MOHs ribbon and they produced a cake that was exactly like the picture and the colour of the icing matched the ribbon perfectly. It tasted soooo yummy too!!!!

Flowers – Hyacinths Bouquet – Once again I sent them a photo of what I was after and told them the colour of my dress and boy was I surprised!! It was 100 times better then the photo that I sent them as they added in brown foliage into the bouquet that matched my dressed perfectly!!

Hair and Make-Up – Elenbi @ M1 – The staff here do miracles!!! They didn’t go overboard with the “oohhh its your wedding day are you excited blah blah blahâ€
