Ahhh Planning is going good KC! thanks for asking! I'm gonna be just like you after the wedding and be wondering what the heck I'm gonna do with all my spare time LOL.

I'm making bridal shower invites this arvo..... dunno what style or what they'll look like, but I've got some pink paper and silver paper and will go from there!

Had our rehearsal yesterday... the kids were there too for it, so that was cool. I nearly cried

i nearly cried at our rehersal to, but come the day, i was just so excited, i only cryed in the limo and as i was waiting for the girls to walk down the aslie, when i was with DH (hehehe i keep going to put FH) i was just so relaxed and happy.

well girls im now thinking of throwing in my job, and starting a diploma in Event management.. not sure if i will or not yet, but its time for a career change, not a big one, just in a different direction i think.

KC your wedding photos are sooo beautiful I am sooo excited about Glengariff now!! getting closer for me now less than 6mths!

I finally got FH out of the house on Sunday to go and try some suits on and none of the bridal shops near home where open so that went out the window.. will see if I can get him out of the house on Saturday morning!!

Got a appt with florist at 1.00pm on Saturday so hopefully can cross that off the list too :D

We just booked our Honeymoon flights!!!
Going to Phuket and Kuala Lumpur
We are flying with AirAsia because it was $1000 less than the best price the travel agent could find us, hopefully the plane isn't too dodgy! Can't find many reviews on them.
I also finished a few invites today, I have made parts of them in the past but this is the first time i have made the RSVP card, wishing well thingo and put it all together in the envelope, addressed ready to go!

Hey Brisbane girls,
I haven't lived here long enough to really know whats out there so perhaps one of you can help me.

Since we have to do this on a massive budget I am thinking of getting spit catering ($16 a head) they say they can cater at any venue even if the venue doesn't have power but thats the problem finding a nice venue that doesn't cost much. I am thinking a nice park perhaps that has shelter and tables but have no idea where. Can anyone suggest a park or any other cheap venue that lets you self cater?

Willow

Hey Willow
The only places I can think of they will be good for self catering, would be community halls or the like. I looked into this option right at the start and if I remember properly,it was around $300 hire.

Have you thought about having it at home, or a friend/relatives house. Then you wouldn't be in a rush to have everything cleared away.

There are heaps of other options too I am sure. How many guests are you having? and what sort of budget do you have.

We are running on a tight budget, so cut guest numbers so that I could have some of the bells and whistles that go along with weddings. we are having a 3 course sit down meal with drinks package for $82 a head. That includes ceremony location, room decorations and even wedding night accom. The venue we chose was chosen because they had the lowest minimum number required.

Unfortuantly we dont have much of a backyard and all our friends live in units as does my mother. So borrowing somebodys home isn't an option.

I am going to go and have a look at Bellbird grove up in Brisbane forest park on the weekend, its suppose to have sheter, toilets, carparking and is suppose to be pretty.

That sounds nice, Willow. I heard somewhere tho' that if you are in a state forest you can't have real flowers. Just something to keep in mind.

Where in Brissie are you? North, south, east or west? Might help us think of a suitable park for you.

You could try scout halls and that sort of thing too. Could be alcohol restrictions tho'.
