Hello, we are looking for a garden wedding location for around 40 people. We like the idea of an old queenslander/high tea style building to have the reception in. I'm having trouble finding any locations, mainly because most dont have a website. Have you been to or know of any places on the Gold Coast that do functions?

Muffin83 - I looked at a lovely venue called Ecostudio Fellini in Mudgeeraba. It is an old queenslander style property in gardens and there is a place to have a garden ceremony and the reception is on the verandah

I really loved the idea of having the reception on the verandah there as it overlooks the lovely gardens but we were looking for a venue where we could have the ceremony and reception...and the outside garden ceremony didn't appeal to us. So we have booked Coolibah Downs as there is a lovely stone chapel and the reception is in a garden marquee.
But if you are looking for a garden wedding Ecostudio fellini would be beautiful and I have heard the food is great.

Did you look into erin gallienne at all? She isn't the cheapest but she's very good. Who's doing your make up?

I've been looking into these too, have you had any luck?
I found the 2 nicest and most reasonable were Motion Art Cinematography and Fish Eye Studio.

Any recomendations for dance lessons on the Northern end of the coast?

We've been to a couple of le-step classes & it's not what we are after - we are looking at doing the Traditional waltz (one of the few things at the reception which will be in keeping with "Traditions")

We are getting photos at the crowne, beachside and in broadbeach mall..

Hope that helps :-)

Hi patches... there are so many beautiful places up there it was difficult to choose. We ended up deciding on Cedar Creek Lodges at Thunderbird Park. It's a gorgeous rainforest amphitheatre :D Our reception will be at St Bernards Hotel which has the best views. We wanted to have the reception at cedar creek too but it was a bit out of our price range
