Hey Zoe, we got the invite to a wedding at Strathmore yesterday but can;t go as we will be on our honeymoon! I've heard it's supposed to be lovely.

LittleRed - I haven't been to the Cornelian Bay Boathouse for yonks but it is gorgeous, what a great spot! Are you having your photos down there too?

Hi KJK

Sorry for taking so long to reply to your post. We will have photos taken at both the gardens and Cornelian Bay.

We actually ended up booking our reception at Cornelian Bay at the last minute after we discovered that our original venue was double booked. The people at the Boat House have been fantastic and we believe that we now have a far better venue for our reception than before.

garden wedding

Wed Feb 07, 2007 4:18 pm

oops sorry we are in hobart. We don't want to be too far away from the city, so the huon valley is out but around the richmond area is okay. We want to be able to set up a marquee in the gardens and have room outside the marquee. any suggestions on locations or caterers would be appreciated.

Hi fellow Tassie brides!
I am getting married in Evandale in November and am looking for recommendations for celebrants, photographers and make-up artists, preferably in theLaunceston area or the general North region but someone in the South who is willing to travel is also good.
Thanks!

Hi Emily,
I just got married at Strathmore in january.
In terms of a celebrant - contact Julie Campbell (she lives in evandale, married us and is very sweet). Our photographer also lives in Evandale (was easy to set up meetings etc when everyone lived near each other) she is Belinda Barrett, she's relatively new but has worked under Phillip Kurivita - and as a photography major at uni I was very happy with what she produced. I got my make up done at Noveau Visage (george st) and it was beautiful (if I say so ;) it was very light and felt like I was wearing nothing - natural, but glam).

Let me know if you need a vidoegrapher - ours was good (he was from hobart - cost around 600 for unedited full version of the day from about 2 till past 11 - we will edit it ourselves).

PM if you need anymore help - would love to assist you in anyway I can :)

Thanks tas12!
That definitely helps. :D
I have heard Strathmore is beautiful, I hope you had a wonderful day. We are getting married in my parents garden in E'dale, hopefully it doesn't rain, or the ceremony and reception will both be in the marquee!

Hi AllyR
Good luck for your wedding next weekend!
Are you having the reception at Rosevears Estate? It is such a gorgeous setting.
Would it be possible for me to PM you with a few questions about your suppliers? I need to start making some decisions....

Hi Emily M
Yes - reception is at Rosevears Estate. Feel free to PM me for supplier details. I live in Melb, so some things have been done in Melb, some in Tas. When are you getting married?
