Oh and can anyone help with cheap chair cover hire??
We're looking at paying like $900 just for stupid chair covers! If we DIY it will still be around $550.
Cheapest quote I have got is $3.30 per chair DIY or $5.50 inc set-up/pack down.
If we DIY, guess who's going to be putting chair covers on in her wedding dress between photo's and reception?? That's right! ME! lol...

I am using Teresa from Chair Flair for ours (http://www.chairflair.com.au). I found her at the expo in Feb. She is charging us $2.20 per cover (I'm not getting sashes), I'm fairly sure it was the same price to include set up/pack down (we are picking them up ourselves to take to Thredbo). I'm sure you'd be able to find some mates willing to do the covers for you - that's who I'm counting on :D

Hi Ladies,

I wonder what the difference between white and diamond white is?... Anyone care to fill me in?

DonsLady

Donslady,

I found each designer is different, I wanted an Ivory dress but when I found my dress the ivory was too creamy so I got Diamond White. It seems to be in between White and Ivory. You should go into Brides of Manuka and look at other Maggie dresses.

Hello Ladies,

This is DonsLady with a new profile name :)

I've emailed the American site and asked for a photo of the fabric to see the difference.

I was told that "all white" is almost bluish white it is very 'white' & "diamond white' is a softer white - light creamy white.

I'm ordering the dress in April... As soon as I'm paid the $900 Gov't cashback - It will take 4 months to arrive...

I can't wait to try it on.

I'm so excited :D

I have extremely long hair - (reaches my waist) and have been thinking about hair styles.

I've decided I'm going to have my hair spiraled lightly - same as the photo - see below :)

Is there any reason you changed names?
You're gonna start confusing me!

My dress is an Alfred Angelo in 'diamond white', to me that sounds like it would be whiter than white but it actually refers to a creamy ivory type colour. The lady in the shop reckons a man must have come up with that name :D

This might be why?

I don't want the Canberra thread to become anything like this :D

Aaaahhhh. Haven't really been in that thread that's why I don't know about it.

I don't want the Canberra thread to be like that too. But I'm sure it wont :)

It's a shame the zero love thread has been shut down considering all of the information it had and all of the people it has helped.

Another one here who wouldn't like to see the Canberra thread turn into a train wreck! :D

So to change the subject and get back to business (LOL), I found this place http://www.giftpod.com.au (located at gungahlin but you can order online) and they have a pretty good range of bonbonniere boxes/jars etc. I thought they were reasonably priced too! Not sure if it's been mentioned here already, but I thought it might be of interest to some :D We're doing the lolly buffet thing, and I'm pretty sure I'll end up using something from here.... I love the "gold baroque" and "vintage ivory" colours, maybe in the mini-bag shape, or the basilica box. What do you ladies think?

*mamabear* Thanks for the link. I live near Gungahlin but can't say I've out often to notice. I think it will come down to the price. Don't want to spend too much!!!!!
