I love giving homemade gifts but I'm a little self conscious that sometimes they may not really be up to scratch as a 'whole' present, IYKWIM. Normally I would buy something else alongside it, but I have a bit of a dilemma. I have made a scrapbook page of that side of the family for FMIL and framed it in a pretty shadowbox frame, but by the time I got all the materials and the frame it's actually cost more than we'd normally spend on her. FH thinks we should just give her it as he thinks it's great, but I'm worried it will seem cheap or not seem like 'enough' because it's handmade! I personally love getting handmade things so maybe I'm just being paranoid but I was just wondering what you ladies thought? Would you be happy to recieve something like the below (excuse the super bad photo, it's too dark to do much better at the moment!) or would you feel a bit ripped off? Please be honest, I truly will not be at all offended by any comments
