Anyone at all out there who got married at Camelot castle in SA or has been to a wedding there?

Can anyone tell me about it? Im trying to plan my SA based wedding from country NSW and could use a hand!

For fresh roses & singapore orchids I was quoted the following:
1xTeardrop bouquet (25cmx55cm) $160.00
3BM (25cm width) $330.00
8 buttonholes $68.00
4 corsages $60.00

How many flowers are you having? If not too many and you're a bit crafty, consider making your own! It's actually really simple.

The flowers I will be using are pink frangipani's, white lily's and white roses.
$110 for my teardrop bouquet
$60 each for bridesmaids bouquets
$7 each for buttonholes for the boys

I've got a friend doing flowers so sorry cant help with that question. But....who have people used for table runners and chair bows? I havent started getting quotes yet, but are they very expensive?

I have to hire the chairs also - my venue only has chairs with arms and no-one does covers for them (and they are the ugliest chairs you have ever seen!) If you find a good place, please let me know!! (All of my quotes have been $1000+) But if your just after the sash's then they shouldn't be too expensive! Anywhere from 50c to $2.50 each, depending on where its got to get to! (I need them delivered to Murray Bridge also!)

Hi everyone! I'm another newbie on here. My fiance and I got engaged on April 12th 2009...can't believe it was almost 12 months ago! We have decided to get married in April 2011 however not sure of a date yet as we have only just started looking at venues. It is all very exciting and I have enjoyed reading all 100 pages of this forum...certainly have learnt a few things from all your advice so far!!! A bit of info about our wedding we are looking at around 120-130 guests with a cocktail reception as I want people to get up and mingle not just sit in their seat all night....plus then I dont have to deal with a dreaded seating arrangement We wont be looking for a church ceremony as neither of us are religious but are open to any other types of ceremony venues. Other than that we are having 3 BM and 3 GM who have been asked already and are wanting a fairly casual affair that reflects us as a couple...I think this may be harder than it sounds!! Finally we are looking at a budget of between $10,000-$15,000 although I would love to get away with spending as little as possible as I dont want to end up in debt for an amazing event that only lasts 1 day. Will post more details and tips as I get them organised. Thanks to everyone for offering up your experience and tips...its a brilliant way to help each other out!!

Another newbie coming out of lurkdom!

FH and I got engaged on Aus day 2008, under the fireworks at Semaphore

We plan to get married on 3rd December, 2011. Date isn't 100% yet as we need to book the reception venue, but it'll be as close to that date as possible. I'm studying at uni so it needs to be after exams but before Christmas and family birthdays.

Well, I went to Ned's yesterday and bought my giant martini glasses for my centrepieces.....I still have three on order. They are perfect and I'm really excited! Now to find somewhere to store them for eleven months

OMG, storing everything is a pain in the a$$!

I have three giant plastic crates in our shed already and we still have seven months to go. I can't believe how much wedding stuff we've accumulated, although we did buy our crystal lamp centrepieces and they take up a fair bit of space.

re storing things - I have random wedding stuff laying around the house, my garter has been on the coffee table for about a month!! I need to organise some kind of storage.... hehehe....

I was a VERY last minute replacement BM for a friend of mine and my dress was made on South Road opposite castle plaza. Really lovely ladies

rondas clothing and alterations shes in Elizabeth Park. just google and she comes up. i got my dress altered there and she has heaps of photos there of all the dresses she has made!!
and she was lovely!

hey girls, just wondering what your opinions are on veale gardens and pennington gardens??

thinking of having our ceremony at one of these. has anyone been to a ceremony at either of these locations? or planning to have/had photos taken there?
