OK, I'll start this off.

I'm 23, FH is 25, and I'll be 24 when we get married. We aregetting married Feb 2005, and are having a celebrant perfom a non religious service. It is too be a semi formal affair- 30 guests, and reception at a local restaurant which we have booked for the night.
1 BM, and 1 bestman. The photographer suggested rose petals to be thrown, although I wasn;t going to have anything. The theme was going to be blue- but might be changed due to changes I have decided upon for my dress.
E0 ring is a princess cut with 3 small diamonds on each side- 18crt- very traditional.

Ther reception is a standard sit down meal- but we are not having dancing, the flower of garter throw, and don't want a big fuss. Te flowers wil lbe roses, and I will probably have them in vases on the tables at the reception. The dress will be fairly traditional, no train, no veil. Jewellry- pink stones, haven't bought it yet. Shoes will be something that i can wear again- open toed and strappy. BMaid will be wearing pretty much whatever she wants- as long as it's long or knee length. FH wants bon favs- almonds in some kind of container- I really couldn't care less.

A friend will be making our cake- looking forward to it, as she made our engagement cake also. We have a great photographer who has a very candid and natural style, and who I have complete conidence in! We got her price a little cheaper as we are only havoing the 4 of us inthe bridal party- less time, and film etc will be used.

Hair- will probably wear it up, but not too formal.
Honeymoon- 3 weeks in NewZealand- the first time either of us have ben overseas!

Hand made wallets covered in oyster pink silk dupion, and held together with cream satin ribbon and a cream feather. Inside was a cream textured card, RSVP, envelope, registry details, map etc

Bonfavs were combined with place cards. Glass baubles with guests names printed inside with some glitter and a feather. Clasp had a ribbon tied around the end.

a 'log shaped' arrangement of flowers (gerbras, lavender and roses same as the BMs bouquets) and dodder vine trailing down the rest of the table centres......with two lots of three tiered candle holders with candles floating on water

having a backdrop behind bridal table, with silver table runners hanging down at different lengths, with ivy trailed along the top and down the backdrop, with two lights directed up onto the backdrop. Chaircovers are white with lovely green sashes and bows for the guests, and silver ones for the bridal table. We want more, but it will depend on the budget! ultimately!!
What else is special about your recepetion?
there will be a candle votive at every place setting (decorated by myself with glass paint in the shapes of vines and flowers), which will mean that the whole room will be filled with candle light rather than harsh over head light.........love it!

planning to have a massage and facials etc with BMs and others at hens night a couple of nights before wedding

We're currently throwing around the idea of having some of our own vows.

Rose petals - they will mark the 'aisle', and the flower girls will also toss rose petals.

What else is special about your ceremony?
We will include the sand ceremony (a la Trista & Ryan's wedding), as well as a private tribute to Michael's dad and my Poppa (both deceased). I'm not sure what that will be yet.

What do your wedding rings look like? (gold, silver, one diamond etc)
Michael's is a plain 18ct yellow gold band, and mine is also an 18ct gold band, with 3x .2ct diamonds to match my engagement ring.

Reception Venue? (hotel ballroom, recpetion centre, home? where?)
Purpose built function room in a heritage listed building.

Don't know yet - possibly 'Perfect Day' by Hoku. (Legally Blonde Soundtrack).

We originally wanted a cocktail reception, but now it will be a 3-course sit down dinner, with canapes as well.

Big vases of lilies and frangipanis, and scattered tea light candles.

Sheer white curtaining, fairy lights, big floral arrangements on pedestals, topiary trees, tea lights up the staircase... lots of white and accents of gold and pink!

What else is special about your recepetion?
It will be held a week after the ceremony.

Pre wedding beauty treatments?
I will start getting regular facials and body wraps, etc, about 3 months out from the wedding.

What are you wearing (dress, veil etc)? Whats it like?
White georgette A-line gown, basically backless, with 2 crystal straps, and an extra crossover of crystal straps over the back, ruching over the waistline, and crystals scattered over the bodice. I'll have a plain white elbow-length veil.

What about your jewerelly?
Will probably wear some simple crystal drop earrings, and possibly a matching necklace (depends if it looks too OTT), and a crystal tennis bracelet type thing.

Your shoes?
Which I am trying to post a pic of in my thread in GD re my shoes that I posted yesterday!! They are 4" strappy white heels, with a crystal dragonfly on the toe strap. (No shoes for the ceremony).

Your hair?
Not entirely sure yet - some kind of unstructured up-style.

What are your bridesmaids wearing?
Blush pink strapless gowns in delustred satin with chiffon overlay.

What about their jewerelly?
Probably very similar to the jewellery I posted in GD yesterday! Pink crystal & silver necklace & matching drop earrings.

Shoes?
Strappy silver heels of their choice. (No shoes for the ceremony).

Hair?
An up-style of their choice.

What are the guys wearing?
A black suit of FH's choice, but will have a high kind of neckline (I'm hopeless at describing suits!), with an open necked shirt (like the Vogue shirts on the Tony Barlow website). They will have frangipanis for buttonholes.

What are your flowergirls/pageboys wearing?
The flowergirls will have little 'fairy princess' dresses, in the same colour as the BMs but with tulle skirts and singlet-style bodices. The usher will probably have a miniature version of the BMs gowns.

What are they carrying?
Last night I had a thought that they could carry empty coconut shells full of rose petals. ????

Flowers?
Frangipanis and pink oriental lilies.

Cake?
My Mum is making us a 3-tier square cake (marble mud at this stage), decorated with frangipanis.

What do your invites look like?
They will be tri-fold (like an A4 sheet folded in 3). They will have a photo of our rings and wedding flowers on the front, and a poem on the first inside panel. When opened fully, the middle panel will have the inviation. They will be mostly textured white, with gold borders and pink. They will be sealed with a pink organza bow.

What other stationary are you having?
Menus, thankyou cards (which will be like a normal card, similar to the invitation on the front but with a wedding pic of Mike and I at the beach with something written in the sand), maybe OOS... Not sure. I don't think we'll have RSVP cards.

Whats your transport?
2x New Beetle Convertibles.

ivory & gold bodice which is in a brocade pattern with little rosettes at the top of the bodice. Red skirt in satin and chiffon, with sleeves that attach at the top of the arm which match my skirt. Gold tiara with little pearls in it-medieval style sits across front of forehead, with veil which is ivory chiffon-it attaches at the sides of the head and hangs down cowl-style at the back

havnet bought any yet-but going shopping for a necklace only

noodle boxes filled with chocolate hearts, a candle with a label on it thanking them for coming to our wedding, and jellybeans

only 2 friends who are photographers

one will be taking black & white photos-he is the arty type with lots of distance candid shots
