Anyone got a Kenwood Patissier mixer?

Mon Nov 08, 2010 2:33 pm

I've been dying to get a benchtop mixer for ages so we just put one on lay-by for xmas (FH's gift to me). The Kitchen Aid was just a bit too expensive and I don't think I'm a serious enough baker to really get my money's worth right now. I think the Kenwood will do me just fine and look lovely sitting on the bench.

I'm getting the yellow one. Pretty...

I'm keen to know how much you use it and what sort of things you make with it apart from cakes?

I have a kitchenaid which i use all the time.

I make mash potatoes (soo yummy and creamy), bread, pizza dough, mix hamburgers or sausage rolls..

I know with kitvhenaid you can buy attachments, you can look into whether kenwood have similar type things (pasta maker, mincer, etc)

Thanks Shella - I'll defintely be trying mash and hamburgers.

I know this one comes with a whisk, beater and dough hook. Will have to look in to whether I can buy additional attachments for it. What attachment do you use for hamburgers?

We have the Kitchen Aid one, it's fantastic. You can make pasta, ice cream, cakes, pizza and any sort of dough. They are a god send! :D

I have the kitchenaid too and love it, i got some of the attachments from our wedding registry. The kenwood looks pretty great too and mum had a kenwood mixer that lasted for about 25 years so they are good quality.

All my cooking stuff is Kenwood in red :-) I love the mixer because it is so solid.
